I'm bothered by the corrosive tone of some recent postings. Frankly, there's little or no justification for the nasty attitudes of some users.
For those new to the forum:
1 Chances are that your questions have been answered before. Try the newbie and faq threads or do a search. Many users like myself have answered the same questions repeatedly (and will continue to help when we can.)
2 Mackie distributes Tracktion. Jules is the developer. Jules drops in and posts sometimes.
3 If you have a problem that isn't covered in an existing thread, by all means post but please understand that we are not employees. Noone responds well to bad tempers and abusive comments.
4 Finally, accept the program for what it is - wonderful but with limitations. I suggest working with those limitations and using your creativity to come up with unique solutions. This forum is strongest when people post their solutions as well as problems.

I have to agree. as someone who has worked a lot over the years with hardware recording I can tell you that it can be just as flaky as any bit of software. Jules has done us all a favor. we should treat it as such. I wouldn't be able to do any of the things I consider common on my computer in a hardware setting. So thanks again Jules, and don't let the unruly posters get you down. also, thanks to all the posters that have helped me out.

Couldn't agree more. It's still so much more fun than any other sequencer out there. The bugs that still exist have been covered and re-listed fifty million times recently, and are obviously being worked on, as all bugs are.
Going on and on and on and on about them doesn't get them fixed any quicker. Providing info that might help debug the problem would. Just saying "I have this problem, why isn't it fixed yet, why why why" just grates. Badly.

Strangely enough, I was actually going to write "Word to Big Bird", but opted for the more succinct "Word".

Likewise. I made a recent thread to let folks know that the scroll bu that had been listed as fixed in the revision list still existed. It immediately turned into a "Yeah Tracktion sucks because of "X"" thread. When I made a comment to that effect, I was ignored.

Hell yeah.
I totally agree.
Stop whining and make some music with the funkiest sequencer ever made!

Agreed.
I think everyone could do well to light a meta-physical cheroot and chill some.
There's been a lot of negative energy of this forum of late - though the kittens did take the heat out of the OcTracktionfest thread.
Purrrrrrr
