Hi folks,
I've attached a comb filter synth some might find useful, it's a different sounding alternative to a vocoder that applies tuned delay to an audio signal via midi.

To work in Reaper:
Mux should be loaded as a vst rather than vsti
Mux track needs both audio and midi sent to it. You can place an audio file on the track and set the track input to midi, or you can have live audio routed from another track.

Maybe the same for other daws.

Happy New Year!

LOOKS REALLY GREAT THANK YOU VERY MUCH

Nice! What about setting up some meta-parameters that control all 12 A-D-S-Rs at the same time?

Thanks runaudio, appreciated. I'm new here but have already found loads of great stuff you have made, thank you.
Mux is so good for experimenting, very productive environment, no rabbit holes:)

Cool machine!!
Just out of curiosity, how do you calculate the delay times?

Post

Thank you AndreasD and thanks runaudio for the link. Both of you have produced some great looking gadgets, I'm going to spend a nice few days running through them. Thanks again mutools for the best kept secret in audio software.

Nerdage:
I got the delay times by turning hz into ms (1/hz) and then using a multiple of that to get into a nice audible range. (Easy enough to find hz table of frequencies.) I couldn't get the exact ms into mux as I couldn't enter the amount manually but that's splitting hairs really, a wee bit of detuning is nice.
I considered adding detune voice options for each note but kept things simple for now, I preferred the option to be able to adjust the delay length per note instead but maybe if that becomes a global setting.

Thanks for the info. I got it.

You can't get the msec more exact as the minimum change in delay time is 1 sample. From the numbers you used, i gather you are running audio at 44.1kHz ;)

Yet another excellent creation! Thanks Chuck! And welcome to KVR!

Thanks for the welcome BlackWinny.

Good info about sample length AndreasD, thanks. I'm running at 48kz here, although I finalised the patch on another computer so maybe that rounded the delay times to 44.1 if that's what you are getting.
