Tracktion Crashes whenever I press record

OS Linux Mint 17 quina with KXstudio repos installed
computer Lenovo TS140 4gb ram, 1.5tb hd space
WM/DE: openbox + tint2+docky
Jack2 - d-bus

Tracktion seems to crash the minute I try to record. If I arm a track to record (only tried this with midi tracks) and press record bam it crashes. Here is terminal output from start to crash:

I am using an AKAI mpk49 as the midi input. Playback and all works, and the crash only happens in Jack, not alsa.
