Tracktion v2 Update
First of all, we at Mackie thank all of you who have downloaded, test-driven, and/or purchased Tracktion. Tracktion’s beauty is readily apparent to anyone who has spent any time working in it - the single screen interface lends to a more fluid creative process without sacrificing important features found in DAWs costing much, much more. Even so, there is always room for enhancements and new features.
Many of you have heard that a major upgrade to Tracktion is currently under development. This is true. The registered Tracktion users have continuously provided us with feedback through a variety of means - a great majority through postings to the various Tracktion user forums. Your comments have been and will continue to be observed by us, and wherever possible incorporated into the maintenance releases of Tracktion v1.x, or in the upcoming Tracktion v2 release. So please keep the comments coming.
We know you are curious to learn “what’s new” with Tracktion v2. Many of the suggestions made by the current Tracktion users will be incorporated into this upgrade, and we promise to provide you with more details on the new features when we get closer to the actual release of v2.
Many of you have asked “how much will I pay for Tracktion v2”? At this time, we are not prepared to release any specifics on Tracktion v2 pricing. However, we will reward licensed v1.x users by offering a special upgrade path to v2. This special upgrade will equate to a total Tracktion investment that is lower than the online sale price of Tracktion v2. This is our way of thanking you for your ongoing support and for your valuable feedback.
So please stay tuned - we’ll be sure to let you know more about Tracktion v2 as soon as possible.

An official word from Mackie...
Cheers for the heads up Beno. At least this will put to rest some of the speculation.
Jules should probably make this thread sticky.

Greetings,
just bought Tracktion, before realising the v2 is coming suspiciously soon.
OK, I'm prepared to pay the additional sum for improvements of this already fabulous software, but guys, that "buddy" scheme is really too much! I mean, I do recommend Tracktion to anyone who wants to listen, but mail reccomendation chain is a bit overwhelming for me here in Croatia. I don't like to nag people THAT much.
I'll just pay the extra sum, if it doesn't exceed half of the original price. More than that would be insulting :-/
All thumbs up for Tracktion, keep up the good work!

I purchased my license one week ago and it seems like V2 is on its way. I would be disappointed to pay about the same amount of cash again! So you better come up with a damn nice price!
