I wanted to check here before I picked up this bad boy (or..girl?). I've got the demo right now, and besides the expected intermittent crackles, I get crackling/distortion when playing anything at all. This is an issue I had previously with Zebra (VST version only, AU was fine) in DP8 before it was apparently patched. The Diva revision I have is 2165. Both AU and VST are doing this. (and no, it's not CPU related)

I don't use Digital Performer, but it should only crackle occasionally in demo mode. You should mention which Mac OSX.

Figured it out. A Zebra VST instances was in the same project, and there's a bug with the Zebra VST (AU is fine) when using in DP.

Interesting. Thanks for this...i've been having trouble on the pc version, and figured i'd look here prior to reporting.
It looks like zebra causes any other audio streams to get "chopped up" at worst. more usually, there's just some distortion, even under virtually no cpu load...is that the bug you're talking about?

This is the first time I've ever seen Zebra's VST plugin interfere with other plugins. Very odd! I'm not sure how to describe it, it's just a terrible popping/clicking. u-he is aware of the issue, fortunately. (and again, I've only witnessed this in DP)

Post

Yup, my issue has only been with DP as well, just on PC. I've used Zebra without issue for years as a vst (and back in the day as a mac au in dp). With DP being new to the platform, i'm hardly surprised at the odd issue here or there...
In any case, Diva seems to work okay here...but throwing zebra into the mix seems to trip stuff up here, too.
I'll kick it around some more, nail down proper repro steps, and do up a proper note to support.

Cheers,
kell
