It's as much to do with users like me that bought Alchemy second handSuloo wrote:thx to all those crackers who made this possible..
I got Alchemy second hand, and handful of soundsbanks that I've bought via CA sales, and Camel Credits.
All in all I don't think I've paid more than about $35 to Camel Audio for all that I've got

KVR: This is so sad! Camel Audio was the best company ever, and it's so not like the Camels to just up and leave without consulting their user base... Something dire must have happened!
I hope they are okay. Or maybe Apple bought them. Whatever the case, we just hope they're okay, and they really would let us know everything if they could.
Camel Audio: We rich! We rich! Sold our shit to Apple and never have to deal with those whiny KVR assholes ever again! Wheeeeeeeeeeee! COKE PARTY

No, but England, Scotland, and I think North Ireland never adopted the Euro. And since I believe Camel's home base is Scotland I'm just not sure if the ruling includes them or not.T-CM11 wrote:Did France adopt the Pound Sterling? However, France is often a day or weekend trip for many in the UK as a short get-away. And when trouble of this kind effects one, they often effect the other.

To keep up the speculation, it stands to reason that a product like Alchemy would be purchased by Alembic.
Tangled roots perplex her ways.

urrggh, I wouldnt wish that on anybody. Anyone but them!Teksonik wrote:Since we're playing the speculation game I'll play along. I'm sure this must have been speculated at least a few times already but if there is a buy out IK Multimedia might be a likely suspect. They certainly have the resources and the fit might be good given the iOS apps and the fact that IK doesn't have a synth like Alchemy. I'd have mixed emotions if that did happen but it might benefit all concerned.....even the end user. Or it could be a complete circle f*ck.....who knows....that's my love/hate relationship with IK.

It'll bother me if the product is $200. And the upgrade is $200. And the upgrade to the upgrade is $200. And the functionality is dumbed down. And...TheoM wrote:beely wrote:The company is *Apple*. *If* Apple have bought them, it would be an end to Alchemy for sure. I think it's unlikely, but it happened with Redmatica, so who knows..? :shrugs:
Oh geez i think it might be apple. It just clicked. EXS24 is the most outdated sampler around.Perhaps Alchemy 2 had tech they wanted to merge with their redmatica tech. Doesn't bother me, i use logic.
You need to limit that rez, bro.

Could be worse... UAD or AVID, and you'll have to buy their hardware to use it.gamecat666 wrote:urrggh, I wouldnt wish that on anybody. Yes, the new EU VAT law affects them, they are in the EU... Scotland is in the EU... Adopting the Euro has nothing to do with it...

It's like the UEFA transfer window here in Europe.
Which club will Alchemy play for next?
Podolski went to Juve
