Do you ever eat or sleep over there at Melda Production ? :)
Actually I had a sport accident and surgery 2 months ago and since then I'm rehabilitating, so there's plenty of time for work and coming with new ideas ;). And will be for another month :D
Sorry to hear that.
I get kind of mixed feelings about your injury.
One part of me want to say "Try to rest and heal yourself."
And the dark part of me is planing your next "accident" :D

Ha! No way! I am now officially old, so i'll take care of myself, so no more accidents :p :D

Just updated to 8.10 and noticed the fine delineating lines at the top of the MPS popup windows!! It's a bit thin, but it makes a serious difference.
Big thanks! :tu:

There are nice plugins in the bundle. But some of them are useless too.
Why do I have to do this very annoying "select your style" thing with every single plugin? The ui looks so bad and I think it gets worse by selecting knobs, slider or something else... I don't wanna get confronted with it nearly 80 times  Can't there be a default style and the selector just as additional option?

Post

Maybe you didn't finish the wizard not even a single time? ;)
When you finish the the style wizard, it should save the configuration and use it as defaults for all plugins on the system.

Could this be a bug with the demo versions? I'm pretty sure I finished this wizard a couple times now :D

Ok, so first, which OS are you using?

I am working on a Win7 machine. I use the VST2 version with Ableton, Bitwig and sometimes Reaper. Latest host updates and the total bundle trial 8.10 is installed. But I started with the 8.9 version (nevermind, cause the wizard bug happened with both versions).

Ok, so please go to this directory:

C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Roaming\MeldaProduction

It is initially hidden, so you may need to show it in explorer (or use some file manager). There should be a file called "StyleSettings.cfg", so please send it to me to info@meldaproduction.com

And if you delete this file AND a plugin directory say "MeldaProduction MEqualizer", then next time you run MEqualizer the style wizard should appear. But if you go through the process, if you then run another plugin, it should not display it again.

Something very strange started happening today. Been using demo for a couple of days now. Made about 5 presets that I stored in a user folder that I created. They all work fine as far as the mod wheel assignments.

Last 3 presets that I made after that, this is what's happening.

1) Create patch and assign mod wheel to M1.

2) Learn the parameter I want to modulate.

3) Save preset.

4) Test to make sure it's working right.

5) Unload preset and then reload it back in.

6) Test again and mod wheel assignment to M1 is lost. M1 no longer responds to mod wheel movement.

7) Reassign mod wheel to M1.

8) Mod wheel then works and parameter that was originally saved is still being modulated.

So in essence, what's happening is the modulation routing is saved and sticks but the mod wheel assignment to M1 does not save.

This worked fine for the first 5 patches but now for the last 3 it no longer works.

I have tried saving to another folder. No change.

I have shut my DAW (Cubase 7) and restarted. Still no change.

Was a QA tech for 5 years so I know how to test software. This one has me totally baffled.

Nothing has changed in my system since the first 5 patches except I had to disable Legacy support for my USB drives because it was in conflict with some program and was keeping my PC from booting.

I doubt that's what's causing this problem as it was a hardware issue and this is software and nothing inside of Cubase has changed.

Any ideas because I'm stumped?

Interesting :D. First, I assume you are using 8.10 right? Which OS exactly? Could you send me a testing project in Cubase? I assume when I open that project, mod wheel wouldn't be assigned, then I assign it, save the project, reopen the project and the modwheel won't be assigned again, correct?

I am using 8.10. OS is Windows 7 64 bit. Cubase 7.06. Not the latest version.

Found out something interesting. M1 is defaulted to the mod wheel. So if I simply do nothing and go right to the "learn" function, it works fine. The problem occurs when you try to override the default setting. That's when it doesn't seem to save with the patch.

Also, M2 doesn't seem to work with assigning MIDI CC 71 (Axiom Slider) to it. It says it sees it when I try to assign but when I move the slider, nothing happens. This is the only synth I have with MIDI CC capability that this feature doesn't seem to work.

Other than those 2 things, everything else appears to be fine. That's actually not bad considering how complex this thing is.

Being a QA tech is dangerous. Essentially they teach you to do everything you can to break something, so I'll try doing things that most people might not. But it's a great way to find all the bugs.

I'll try to get a Cubase file up as soon as I can or give me an email I can send it to.

Hmmm, even more interesting! Ok, so please send it to info@meldaproduction.com .
About "Axiom Slider" (whatever it is) - what do you mean it "sees" it? You did use "Learn" in the MIDI settings, right? Also is there a reasonable range in the MIDI settings? How about a video showing what are you doing?

PS. Yeah, a friend of mine was always doing "random clicking test" :D - he wasn't thinking about doing the most crazy complex thing, he rather just started clicking everything he could. And he was unbelievably successful with that :D :D.
