I really like the synth leads Dr. Dre uses. Everything from his new stuff to his old stuff.

Really like this lead:

I like a lot of the old school 90s west coast leads, but I can't think of a specific track. I'll post some as I think of them.

How about an arpeggio/noise layer, when the arppeggio goes higher in pitch,
the filter trends highpass, while a filter on the noise moves lowpass,

and just the opposite when the aprpeggio notes go downward on the keys.

Was that a well muddled description?

Are filter envelopes a way to do this?

YIKES! Not sure what happened there. I just tried the link and it worked fine. If needed, here is the link to those HIVE patches on the u-he site:

My first 32 patches are in a folder with the big "KVR Beta Thread" bank, which has something like 300 patches from various people.

Thank you very much.. And I'm not sure what happened either. I tried it 2-3 times and both times it triggered a fake "Adobe flash needs updated" thing that tried to install a couple of malicious files. Very strange. I'll be checking the other link you sent! Thanks.

Yeah, those upload sites can be pretty sketchy. I recommend using box.com for things like sharing around here (Howard taught me that!)

Hey thanks for the heads-up, bmrzycki

. I signed up at box.com and will use that for file sharing from now on. I get 10 GB storage space for free, so that's perfect for my needs. It's also helpful to have one place where I can keep track of everything.

Would love to see some long pad/soundscape type presets as I love creating ambient drone types of music.

Not sure if these are possible in hive though (I hope they are).

. I got a few textured drone-ish pads in here already and still adding more. They will be in the "Ambient and Film Scores" folder when Urs releases this collection.

Thank you for the patches. Curious if you could do this on Zebra, Bazille, or Hive (from ~1:00 to 1:30):

I have yet to hear ARP 2600-V get close to that (was originally done on an ARP 2600).
