Dash Signature releases today EVE 1.4 VSTi for Windows:

New Features:

1) Free location of the "EVE Data" folder, now you can move the EVE Data and banks files
where you like.
("EVE Banks" folder must be inside the "EVE Data" folder, Please read the instructions)

2) Stereo Limiter, you see the button in Master section;
with led to show activity.

3) Master Out Gain in the Master section, range : - infinite + 10 dB,
0 dB is in the middle

4) Totally rewritten Degrade algorithm in Tape Echo effect, try it!
Echo Degrade now features two selectable behaviours:
soft or crazy : when "+" is on,

EVE users can download the update at http://login.dashsignature.com/
entering the personal ticket number.

Question, EVE will still be able to find all the patches I used in older version right? Is it backwards compatible. I dont want to install it and then find out all my songs with EVE are gone.

1. When using the updater the registry file in the Eve-folder has to be updated manually (double-click on it then choose 'yes')

2. The Eve-Multi.dll has to be renamed to Eve-MultiOut.dll (why in the world did you rename it, Luigi?

)

3. When starting for the first time Eve says it can't find the Eve-data-folder and asks where it is.
After that it says it can't find the bank folder but doesn't ask where it is.

4. The bank-menu (right-mouse-click in the display) is completely missing

I get the same thing! YIPES! so I re-installed the 1.26 update.Hope you can fix this Luigi!

EDIT: OOOPS...forgot to read the above to put the bank folder in the data folder. Everything works now. WHEW!

I'll go to my space corner now

I kinda like what happens when the Echo fbk and filter knobs are pinned--but ya better be ready to turn it down or run!

i have wasted so much time on this cursed thing. install was a problem, locating banks, using in different hosts, now this update.

why is this vsti so messy ? why is it different to everything else ? why non-standard !

i worked for years in high level tech support and still get phone calls from people for me to sort them out. but this thing is a pig. if i was doing support i would not describe this piece of coding kindly. i would advise deletion.

i will work it out, sure, but more time wasted

if it wasn't such an excellent synth i would have deleted the thing months ago and cut my losses

hey Cabin,

sorry to hear your problems,

even though the recent update was exactly to allow an easier installation, now you just need the DLL and
ONE folder for Data, that you can move where you want

please let me know if I can help more,

and may you please tell me more about the "being so different" of EVE?
