Presswerk automating controls

I am working on a project where I hhave to automate the threshold in Presswerk. The trouble is that all channel-dependent controls exist twice - once for each channel - and even with "link" enabled, automating one (e.g. channel 1/left/mid) does not change the other (channel 2/right/side). That is, let's say I lower Threshold 1 with automation, only the left threshold is lowered, the right threshold stays as is. I know and understand why this works as it does ("Link" is a UI thing only, even in "Link" mode, the two channels can have different values). It's just that it requires me to always automate both channels, which is a bit cumbersome.

In Reaper, I can at least modulate one automation lane by another, effectively allowing me to use only one lane to control both parameters. Still it's a bit tedious and clutters the work space, as I still need to create two automation lanes for each parameter.

Is there a way to force Presswerk to either use only one set of parameters ("single-channel control path") or automatically sync the other channel? I
