Tracktion Q&A...

I thought I had stumbled on something the other day, when I was using the sampler to program a midi track of drums... I placed the notes in, with looping turned off, and it looped properly when I turned loop back on... Hmmm... tried it again, in a different edit, and it started dropping the first beat on first pass again?? Seems like the internal sampler would not be subject to this problem/phenomenom... but, I swear. sometimes it works, and sometimes if you move the first note manually it will fix it... sometimes... I don't know why that is so annoying to me other than I usually start composing a song with a 4 bar drum loop and a bass line... Just sort of ruins the flow of things... could we just fix that with the sampler, at least???

Seems like I'm always complaining, but that's the way I always start, and I can't get past that stupid thing... I thought I would start using the sampler for drums back awhile ago because of problems with various drum VSTs (LMIV and RMIV) but damn, it does the same thing? Arghh... doesn't anyone else compose that way, and if so... isn't that annoying?? No count in on loop was kind of ???? but I'd trade that for no dropped first note looping... weird thing is, now some VSTs aren't dropping notes, but the drums are??? pretty weird...

Hmmm... I just created an edit at 105 bpm, and put samplers in tracks for BD snare and cymbals... worked fine!?? Why does it work sometime, and not other times? maybe it is the bpm settings... Hmmmm....

Could this be related to the problem you are all talking about? When triggering grooves from BFD I am get very erratic results. Out of an 8 bar section it might trigger every second groove or just the fill at the end or none at all or just the first one. It's all over the place. If I use the mouse and click to restart playback just before the midi note it will usually start the nest bar fine. But still I am not getting it to playback well enough that I could record another track with it or even play it back to hear a mix. It works fine in FLStudio. Anybody heard of this/have a solution. Is it a bug or what.
