Sure, in that case only an EQ will help, but that de-harshing couldn't be solved with a Multiband-compressor either, as suggested here before.

What a compressor can do is tame the sudden resonant gain peaks. I didn't suggest it for "de-harshing".

Sure, but as this is an experimental video playing and experimenting in real time with KS, why not allow for the "real" things to happen in a video when trying to adjust KS to the situation it is being used in.

But the crackling in the video is not CPU-induced, it's just what happens when you tweak KS while audio is passing through, as Andrew said, he is planning on making this more real-time friendly in the future.

i got the crackles while moving the windows around and clicking anything on the ableton GUI. hope 2CAudio can improve this.

BTW. Some of the graphics in the docs are are total eyesore and gave me a severe headache (Page 31 - you can't be serious...).

p31 in the manual is intentional overkill to impress upon you the complexity that is hidden within the GUI. The GUI itself seems like a fairly simple tool upon first glance IMHO. So I wanted to impress upon readers everything that is available from this single page.

The only other one I can think of is the display of 4 waveforms at the same time in different rows, which is also intentional, as it demonstrates the superiority of Image Maps to represent tons of mod data.

Smooth automation of of knobs etc, is not yet supported.

Think of moving the knobs as setting up conditions. Then let KS use the Image Maps to supply two million points of automation data and change things in an absolutely perfectly smooth manner.

hope 2CAudio can improve this.

Definitely on the wish list. But is requires an boat load of math (i.e. CPU resources) to do perfectly...

Listening to the last one of the audio demos on the website right now. Heard some nice stuff in these. But then I read this:

Hm, cool. Then why didn't you let me hear a few of them in the audio demos?

still prepping the web page and audio demos... notice it is not linked from our homepage or anywhere else (other than a few forums like this) where some people posted it (it was not me originally - I just put the place holder first post bc I guessed it would happen)...

so... for now, I suggest to try the demo yourself. See what you think. Then you can tell me.

I wish I had another two years to make many albums with KS before anyone else had it to be honest, but well, no sense in hoarding it all for myself...

I am sure other people will start making very cool sound examples soon too.
