Our OSX installer is made with the standard Package Maker from Apple.

Our Win installer is the same method/code as we use for Aether, B2, Breeze.

If others see this, we will explore why Chrome would think this...

(kidding... obviously it is a highly specialized tool that will appeal to some, but not everyone... -- prob not gonna be too popular in county/folk music circles for example. Our goal is simply to make it as good as it can be to those it does appeal to. )

Norton 360 often gives a similar message, but not in this case. It's doing the same thing- looking at whether the file has been downloaded by Norton users (and if so, if they had malware issues), so new things with little or no history can cause it to flag them. In this case, I knew better than the sphinx.

If you mean the warning I do, that's a 'default' warning when the file has not been downloaded often. Chrome then flags it as unsafe due to lack of information (same as Win8 sometimes, but less often).

I think a lot of "art" is involved with ascribing meaning to effectively random data as explained in my previous pontification.

At least in KS we give you dice (literally and figuratively) to play with to explore a potential space...

Yes, this is a favourite topic for me too. The acid test is whether the space you've laid out is a useful one. Certainly it works for ambient/soundscape material. I'm guessing there are plenty of other areas it could be useful too - the challenge is whether it's possible to get there using the interface. Certainly Simon's jams suggest some interesting uses as a tailor-made effect for specific pieces of music.

With its approach of using visuals to represent (and modulate) multi-dimensional control over a model, it seems to me that it has a lot more in common with Cycle than anything else. I love resonators - there aren't enough available yet - Tassman was a handy effect for this sort of stuff, but this takes it to the next level. Really look forward to demoing it - if my poor computer can take the strain.

And don't be put off from writing about it as lyrically as you can - after all, "Any sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic." And the whole purpose of this is to create something that humans can relate to (music), so your passion for what you're doing can be a part of it too - it certainly make a refreshing change from a bullet point list of fabby features.

It's not only a plugin but also runs standalone. It's node based and can create pretty much everything you can dream up, can make almost all patterns repeatable (I guess that translates to loopable in KS?) and can also scale, and vary the patterns endlessly. My favourite procedural texture generator.
They often run sales that go up to 80% off.

Does the Architecture Vol. 1 KS version have presets for KS? besides the images, waves, and scales?

Very cool demo so far. I have a bad feeling that the money in my pocket will eventually end up in your pocket.

Also, for some reason the AU version of KS installs into the Components folder but does not show up in the Live 9.1.7 browser. Mac 10.8.5. VST version is working.

The AU shows up as Aether on mine for some reason (but works fine). Kaleidoscope as VST.

The demo AU worked well for me on a pre-retina MBP running Yosemite and Live 8. Cranking Live's latency up to 2048 to match the KS default smoothed things out somewhat. Some presets swallowed my CPU in a spike of activity, but nothing crashed, and I think the audio even weathered the storm.

This is quite nice when used in a more subtle fashion for textures, treatments and atmospherics. Too much of that shrill additive vibe doesn't do a lot for me, but there's plenty to work with here. I'm hoping to get more interactive with the settings... tried a few things so far with mixed results... haven't looked at the manual yet.

I'm not sure yet if this is a tool I'll invest in, but the first outing was promising.
