Its finally up,and I'm quite happy with the way it turned out :

http://soundbytesmag.net/mdrummerbymeld ... ionspart1/

I also need some suggestions as to how to proceed with part 2.

There is a LOT to cover :)

I was thinking I do a walk-through / tutorial that starts with the rhythm generator and ends with a finished drum track.

Any other suggestions, regarding strengths, work flow, highlights or possible improvements would be highly welcome.

And here is the excellent conclusion to David Baer's review of MpowerSynth :

Aaaaha, interesting, I didn't even know about that!!! Thanks for the info! Now I'm a little confused - you are the one writing the review and looking for stuff for part 2??

Ah ha, muslimpunk, you are suleiman of Reaper forum fame!?
Excellent intro to MDrummer..one tiny little thing...
You say "You can either trigger patterns by using MIDI notes
(in which case this song arranger will be disabled)...".
Actually, song arranger needs to be physically disabled for midi commands to work..it is not automatically disabled.
So, better to say "in which case song arranger should be disabled".

True! Also you said the whole installation is online, which is not - it's all offline, online would mean you need to be connected during the installation and the installer will download all the data.

Yeah ! I meant that there is no need to order a dvd / cd / usb etc. The download is available online.

But that needs changing.

And yes, I wrote that review and am looking for suggestions as to what to feature in part 2 . This is the ebst place to discuss it beacuse it has some real experts on the subject.

I was thinking to do a walk-through / tutorial that starts with the rhythm generator and ends with a finished drum track. In between I touch on most of the aspects.

Any and all suggestions are welcome.

Aaaha, then for the installer I'd say something like "You need to download the 6GB archive from MeldaProduction servers, internet connection is not necessary afterwards."

As for suggestions - that's the thing, everyone seems to have a different workflow :). As for me - I'd dig further into the rhythm generator. I think rhythm editor is for the less lazy people than I am :D. Same for drumset editor, for that one I'd dig further into the drumset designer from the Quick setup tab. Sample analyzer would be worth some further info as well. My 2 cents. But at the end, you are the boss here ;).

muslimpunk..yes, I follow the Reaper forum regularly but don't post there much.
I've often thought about writing some tutorials for MD myself...trouble is that it's so deep and has so many angles, it would take a lot of work to be logically organized, succinct and comprehensive....and spare time I don't have at the moment.
But your plan for part two makes sense.
Keep up the good work.

Ok ...both the corrections made in the review....

Part 2 will be a walk through going from the rhythm generator to a done song (touching on almost all aspects of drum editor and effects etc) along the way.

Cool ;)
