anybody else losing Presets on basil and z2

so i followed the tip at the last chapter of the manuals to create a HOME and RUBISH folders to develop my own set of presets and learn the synth. the problem is i keep on losing not only the presets but the folders themselves. e.g. just now, i opened bazille and both HOME and RUBISH were gone. only had a few presets but man, i liked them. can't find them in the preset directory either.
