Does the IK Multimedia Total Studio 3 generate IK Multimedia JamPoints?
I bought it today and after registering it I didn't see any new JamPoints in my IK Multimedia account.
Thanks!

The IK page for Total Studio 3 says it includes, among other things, "SampleTank 2.5 XL" and "15 Xpansion Tank 2 Multi-Sampled Instrument Collections". Does anyone know if it's actually true that it's version 2.5 stuff, not 3? Peter?
If so, no wonder it's discounted, but "Total Studio 3" would be a really weird name for it, bordering on deceptive. My guess is that the bundle page was just updated sloppily, just checking though.

'Total Studio 3' is an old product, predating SampleTank3 by at least a year IIRC. still a very good deal if you were considering buying amplitube at all, or still need guitar amps + dynamics processors (i still like the 670) + reasonably decent reverbs, with sounds as a bonus...

Also the upgrade path from it to SampleTank 3 is $199.99 (if you dont want to wait for an offer that are so common in IK Multimedia). Or you can go for SampleTank 3SE for $99.99.chroma wrote:'Total Studio 3' is an old product, predating SampleTank3 by at least a year IIRC. still a very good deal if you were considering buying amplitube at all, or still need guitar amps + dynamics processors (i still like the 670) + reasonably decent reverbs, with sounds as a bonus...
I just bought it from JRRshop for $83.99. It is an amazing deal at that price (T-RackS CS Deluxe, AmpliTube 3, etc)

Thanks guys. I'm not looking for any T-RackS or Amplitube stuff, and I have SampleTank 2.5.4 XL and a few packs for it, was just wondering if this was a cheap way to get to ST3, apparently not. Not that interested in it, as in, didn't jump on the intro price, but you know...

It had that name way before STank 3 was even announced. (Years before, I believe). I owned it, and sold it at a loss due to much of it not working and support being unable to help get it working. Yes, it is 2.5 stuff. Only the effects and Amplitube are 64 bit. What you're getting here really are the 15 Xpansion banks along with the other 20+ GB library from the five VIs which are all playable in STank2 and that are supposed to import into STank3 (if STank3 is your plan). Some of those are duplicates from what I've been able to filter through their blurbs, but I couldn't tell you which ones. I regrettably had to give up on using their products since over half of their 64 bit products refuse to even open on my system. (They blame my system, but have no explanation to why ten of the 64 bit effects do work while the rest won't)dwozzle wrote:The IK page for Total Studio 3 says it includes, among other things, "SampleTank 2.5 XL" and "15 Xpansion Tank 2 Multi-Sampled Instrument Collections". I think you are wrong about that, the folder on my HD containing the 15Xpansion banks compressed install files is 11.76 GBHans25 wrote:Be very careful about the 15Xpansion banks. As far as I understand from what I have read you only get 1 GB of sounds in total from the 15Xpansion banks. That's like one instrument each. If you want the full 15Xpansions you have to buy Total Workstation XL, but then you don't get the effects.BBFG# wrote:It had that name way before STank 3 was even announced. When you click on the "Xpansion Tank 2" series it also includes 1GB of Sampletank sounds. I misread that as 1GB of total sounds for Xpansion Tank 2
My bad

But that version still does not allow importing ST2 right?frankz00 wrote:The cheapest way I got SampleTank 3 SE was an iRig Keys on clearance for $60 at Guitar Center. YMMV

Personally, not that anyone cares, but meh on ST3 and its libs, unless it was super super cheap. As I said, I have ST2.5, but rarely use it. The Kontakt factory stuff and player are infinitely better where they overlap, plus I have a few Kontakt libs, I'm good. I do use the Miroslav stuff some, but the upgrade from ST2 to 3 isn't worth much to me.

Yes it does, from http://www.ikmultimedia.com/products/sampletank3se/ :softska wrote:But that version still does not allow importing ST2 right?frankz00 wrote:The cheapest way I got SampleTank 3 SE was an iRig Keys on clearance for $60 at Guitar Center. YMMV
SampleTank 3 SE also supports user sample importing and the use of Powered-by-SampleTank legacy libraries.

Hey Uncle E
The group buy discount code doesn't seem to be working on the MOOG 55.
Damn …. just when I was going to buy it too
Well … when the house sale goes through anyway!
