I created a new empty project and used just a default simple piano to test it. Maybe it's my setup. Since i updated to Yosemite i have some trouble. Logic is very slow and i have cpu spikes when i not close all UI's from my plugins. Also it seems that it works for others. So it must be my fault somewhere. Will give it some trys tomorrow. Thank you for answering!

Thanks for the question. Yes, we can work something out for you. Send me an email.audientronic wrote:I own B2 and I'm thinking about adding Aether... Just wondering if there are any options to upgrade from B2 to the Perfect Storm with my kaleidoscope purchase?

Thanks guys!zerocrossing wrote:Here here! While I'm always up for a "how close are we to vintage analog?" synths, this, and tools like it, are really what's exciting now in instruments...Breeze wrote:Wow! I think you and Daven from Amaranth should start an "Envelope Pusher's" group here on KVR! It's really nice to see some novel thinking that isn't tied to conventional hardware paradigms.
...All the really interesting stuff is happening in software. It has to. I don't think a hardware version of Kaleidoscope would have a big enough market to be successful considering it would have to have at the very least a iPad style touch-screen to make it really usable and that would sky-rocket the cost.
We have lots on things planed for Kaleidoscope.

I own B2 and I am interested in the preset expansions. I can I use my purchase of Ks towards that instead of Aether?Galbanum wrote:Thanks for the question. Yes, we can work something out for you. To get sound you need to:
0) Load Kaleidoscope -- it is found under effects NOT instruments.
1) Make sure Demo is still active if using Demo
2) Link to the Resource Library
3) Load a preset. You should see an image in the image display area, NOT a completely black area.
4) Feed KS some input signal, or set white to 200% and lock.
5) Start playback in host (if Phase Lock is set to "To Host" as is the default -- if set to "Internal" the clock will be free-running, always on)
Does this help?

That fixed it thanks! For some reason it has alot of crackling issues in Bitwig even when I turn up the buffer size but it works just fine in Reaper. For my purposes I will likely just render stuff in Reaper then drag the stems into Bitwig. I will file a bug report to the Bitwig devs though.
IMO, this plugin really starts to shine when you tweak the pitch and textures out of it yourself to go along with your source material. The second I started doing that I saw the massive potential for sound design.
This thing is awe inspiring

Feed it into B2 or Aether and you'll get lost for weeks or months or more.
We'll do some more exploring with Bitwig and see what we find. We like Bitwig and these guys seem very forward thinking like us, so we'll be sure to make it play perfectly with Bitwig...

many more demo sounds added:
https://soundcloud.com/2caudio/sets/2ca ... leidoscope
all the "generative" ones are entirely KS and nothing else using the built in white noise generator to synthesize new content. (typically these would then have verb etc added to them, but provide here just dry direct out of KS for demonstrative purposes...)
many more to be added still...

ha... not sure if I should be happy that SC is looking out for my Galbanum content, or pissed that it blocked me from uploading a really cool drum loop example!! Odd.Our automatic content protection system has detected that your track, "G ABS05 368 KS",
may contain copyright protected content and we've blocked it from being published on your profile.

Im having some issues with renders in Reaper not sounding like they were when I was playing over MIDI. It does a similar thing when I hit the record button to record some MIDI on my keyboard, the sound becomes nothing like it was before.
From what I can tell that is not a demo limitation. I have the host dictating time signature and BPM and I also tried with Kaleidoscope dictating it. I tried Offline 1x render, Offline full speed, Online render, etc all seems to do the same thing.
I will try and see if I get the same behavior in both Bitwig and Reaper on my Mac.
Really want to record some clips
