Just purchased Omnisphere 1 from bestservice.de (332EUR including shipping to Asia). Better price than I expected to find.
Divorce inevitable.
I'll blame Internet.

Man I hope Omnisphere 2 will offer a downloadable version without 1000000 samples! All I wanna do is hook up some og my own sounds and twist them with Omni’s engine…

i think the use of "EDM and wobble dubstep" is a marketing ploy... in one of the interviews... Eric said... people use Omnisphere in more ways than first thought... i purchase Omnisphere when it first came out... at first i could understand the sounds... but as time went on my palette for sounds increased... i think the same will happen here...VitaminD wrote:This piqued my interest in the current, Omnisphere 1. So off to youtube I went. I had to close the page after awhile as the sounds were much too enticing knowing full well I can't warrant another 500 dollar audio purchase.![]()
This sounds, in my mind, what a Roland workstation would be if they didn't water it down.. really, really well done here.![]()
I'd probably give $150 for an NFR simple player just for the Pads and Strings alone. But understand that isn't going to happen.
Omni2 demo is too wobble dubstep oriented to get a real feel for it at the moment.. but definitely has some interesting modules.. swiss army synth!
about the upgrade price... i own stylus/stylus rmx, trilogy/trillian and atmosphere/omnisphere... these are the best vst/i i ever purchased... if specstrasonic came out with "sh!t on a stick vst/i"... i would purchase it... strictly name only!!!

I'm thinking about the same, I have built a system the last couple of years, and I'm anxious having to move to a better machine also.wagtunes wrote:From what I'm hearing, I don't think my core 3, 16 gig RAM PC is going to be able to run this. If that's the case, it means upgrading my PC which means a complete reinstall. That's not an option for me with all the programs I would have to redo, including Komplete which took 8 hours to install.
So it looks like no Omni 2 for me. Oh well, that's life.
But - you don't necessarily need to reinstall when moving machines, especially not Kontakt libraries, nor Omnisphere factory content.
You could try to migrate your system with a cloning software (st the procedure is called "Universal Restore", that means you can restore your system on completely different hardware), and concerning Kontakt/Omni you just can copy over your whole libraries to your new hd.
Then just add your libraries to Kontakt/point Omni to your steam folder's location.

Can you upgrade your CPU without changing your motherboard? That's one option.wagtunes wrote:From what I'm hearing, I don't think my core 3, 16 gig RAM PC is going to be able to run this. Or, if you need to change your motherboard as well, try this:

It's cheaper from Best Service:recursive one wrote:Thank you!cocoazenith wrote: I believe it's €399 with VAT included.
FYI: thomann.de sells Omnisphere 1 right now for €370 (VAT included).

Change the price to dollars, $ 356.35, about 315 Euros, £237 (UK). A bargain, seeing as you get to use Omnisphere now, and then a free upgrade to Omnisphere 2.

Thank you, basslinemaster. Where can I read if bestservice ships to Russia? Maybe it's me, but I fail to find any list of regions covered by delivery at their site.

On their site it says:
For shipping to the United States and to Canada we charge a flatrate of 10,- EUR, to all other countries worldwide we charge a flatrate of 25,- EUR regardless of the order value.

They have flat rates, it seems. EU is 10 EUR, outside EU is 25 EUR. At least that's what I was charged and what order description said when I was making the order.

Take a look at the picture yourself and ask yourself if it isn´t the same dialog already existing in Omnisphere, which simply regulates the loading mode of the existing soundsources...Spip wrote:Take a look at the picture 28. You can see a menu for setting round robin number for the selected sample.Trancit wrote:To me, it seems that this is only possible to the integrated soundsources and I highly doubt, there are possibilities for multi sample import at the moment (at least there are no images showing any sample mapping (which would be essential for multisample import) anywhere...)...Spip wrote:Take a look at image 28/30. You can assign any velocity or round robin you want to any sample.mhog wrote:wavetables maybe. Multi-samples I don't think.Spip wrote:It seems so looking at the pictures at the bottom of the website page.pdxindy wrote:Audio import!! The video only showed importing a long piece of audio for using with the granular engine. Can you also import multi-samples? wavetables?
If so, then sample import is nearly useless other than for the more extrem manglers like the granular engine... means, again to be stuck with the internal soundsources ....
If it wouldn´t be from Spectrasonics, you guys would shoot any other developer down in flames for such a half baken feature implementation in nowadays...
Always funny to see this behaviour here
Is it useful to set the round robin number if you only have one sample ?
It's always funny to meet the smart guy of the day...
If there would be multisample import, you would at least need some mapping editor and I am pretty sure, if this would be one of the new features, they would have shown it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Actually l had issues with some online shops not shipping to Russia. Long before the sanctions, that's why I'm asking.
