Okay so I watched the video and noticed something odd. The video of them recording in the stalactite cave looks fake!! Look at the 24:20 point and they are still pictures of people moving across a background. It just looks totally fake!! Can anyone expand or confirm this maybe if you are familiar with photoshop or working with photos/videos?

Well i t was a "secret" cave and they apparently needed NATO approval, so perhaps no pictures allowed! ;)

For some reason I guessed Spectrasonics is based in USA and was't wrong. :nutter:

Well that makes sense sorta, but no pictures, its a cave that they keep people out of because its dangerous. Since when is looking at pictures of a cave dangerous? Maybe cameras won't work in them then? Was it really necessary to 'fake' a video of them recording the sounds? Since they made it look so obvious I guess its less insulting (minor as it may be) than them simply recording in a different cafe that would allow videos of stalactites and pass that off as the cave in question

"RadioActive Cave" is actually a strip-joint-sex-club in Alhambra that is somewhere down on Cahuenga Blvd.
And 'stalactites'?
Don't ask.
:hihi: :hihi:

For god's sake, man. An audio company producing a synth just did a presentation where they said they recorded one of hundreds of sounds for the synth but might not have actually have had actual video of them recording the thing playing on a screen behind him while he was talking about it.

If you dont care about that, then the terrorists have already won!

The concocted animation is probably more entertaining than actual footage would have been. But, I wouldn't care one iota to find out that they fabricated the whole story to add some exotic spice into their release. Admittedly, we have more proof for the actual burning and sampling of that burning piano in their first installment than we do for anything else they've claimed. Nevertheless, I find that piano very much anticlimactic when compared to much of the rest of the library.

Long story short, its sound. Good or bad. And beyond that, I'm pretty sure he's being honest about their adventure in Eastern Europe.
Who is "I"? What is "I"? This has yet to be explained.

OMG, it's Cavegate.

Maybe there was a second camera shooter.

Maybe the piano was never actually on fire.

Maybe the guy in the video is actually Eli Persing, Eric's sinister twin brother.

Trust no one!!! :o  :scared:

Now that you put it in those terms. Let's take it to the Supreme Court

It's staggering what some people will focus on, eh?

The millisecond I saw the cave picture it was obvious it was the standard technique of extrapolating layers of a photo (or combining different photos) for a fake 3d effect. Happens in pretty much every documentary made since 2010. Just a nice visual touch. Or... A CONSPIRACY!!!!!

I guess this is what Spectrasonics criticism has come to, since they basically addressed all the complaints about Omnisphere 1. :hihi:

Next thing you're going to tell me is music production uses FX to fake a better experience than the raw sound recordings.

 I just thought it was amusing :P Seriously why get so worked up and start swearing, stereotyping and ridiculing people :ud:
