Clear-Concise-Straightforward
Thank you Mr Persing for annoumcing the update without any undue hype (just normal enthusiasm) and showing us features that I"m sure will be available on the day of release. I find it extremely refreshing that this company only says something when they have something to say and stick to their agenda and promises. I don't remember having problems with bugs either on new releases. Great company IMO.
Looking forward to the update and hopefully an update to Stylus in the mot too distant....

These are all great improvements however there's no mention of cpu efficiency. Obviously they haven't made improvements in that area. So looks like it will be a 1 track per session synth like Omni 1.

I don't have the most powerful computer in the world, but I can run multiple instances of Omni 1. I don't do the multi-out on one instance, because that puts too much strain on one core of my cpu.Kinh wrote:These are all great improvements however there's no mention of cpu efficiency. Still, it is a good question. My computer is actually below spec for Omni 1. 2011 2ghz Mac Mini i7 quad, 8 gigs ram. It still runs fairly smoothly, in addition to other cpu hungry plugs.

Blimey - is your computer a 486?! My ancient dual core laptop could easily run a loaded instance or more. Any half decent modern computer should handle scores of instances. On Twitter, Eric said CPU load was broadly the same as Omni 1, depending on the patch.Kinh wrote:These are all great improvements however there's no mention of cpu efficiency. I think its more paranoia than anything. My computer's crashed in the past but when ever I lay one more multi down I can sense attitude coming from Omni, like I can almost hear it saying.. "not this again! Why do you need another track for anyway? just be happy with what you got you ingrate!!!"Bombadil wrote:I don't have the most powerful computer in the world, but I can run multiple instances of Omni 1. But come to think of it, it could just be the voices in my head.

Really excited and will definitely be upgrading April 30th, but as usual we get shafted here in the UK.
It looks like it will be around 200 Pounds just for the upgrade, which isn't too appetizing seeing as you can buy Omnisphere new for about 270

And different people would be folding their arms.

Yeah, it's a little unclear there. I'm pretty sure that what they call Omisphere 2 is the boxed version of Omnisphere 1, and eligibility for a free download to Omni 2 when it's released. It's saying delivery 2-7 days, while the upgrade is pre-order, that seems like a clue as to what they're up to. Badly worded, worth dropping them a line to double check.valerian_777 wrote:Yesterday i checked JRR and found only the boxed one, but today i only find Ominsphere 2. A download version of Omnisphere 1 doesnt exist. If you want to buy Omnisphere 2 its gonna be a boxed version as well.
I also hoping that Spectrasonics will allow shops like JRR to sell the Upgrade.

Bulbous can defeat any Omnisphere. JK. Looking forward to getting Omnisphere 2. Hope that President Joseph and the defense associate Mario and the phonecians and the cavemen who harnessed fire sensitively of our roots and the illuminati roots never get discovered in Bulbousound name. Reason is the answer all fail Omnisphere. JK. Imagine a scheme a dream to spread the gif... to... to end... end poverty. End war! Imagine a plastic object known as bulbo...... reea.... Omnisphere.

Omni 2 is not out until April. I hope they fixed the lag I get from the last update that happens with Live 9 and windows 8.1 It wasn't there before that.
