Note that when you're dropping a MIDI file it is loaded into that sequence hence the name stays the same. It's the same as if you would do sequence -> Import MIDI File.
No, I´ve dropped a few saved .musequence files on it... and as I said, the name of the dropped sequence appears in the dropdown list of the sequence player.

Well, either you support OSX or you don't, I guess. Too many issues for me. Thanks!

Ok now i see what you mean. Fixed in 6.3.2, available soon. Thx!

By the way: Question: When you drop a MIDI or MuSequence file on a sequence object field, would you expect the file to be loaded into the displayed sequence the file is dropped on (like it is now) or rather as a new sequence? Or should an question pop up?

I am not sure, what consequences the 2 ways have, but in general I would expect, that a dropped file (no matter what) replaces the actual loaded one including the name...

If some day it would be doable for you, that we can drop files into the editor window, there is a nice feature I´ve only seen in Podium so far (starting at 01:00):

Try rebuilding the MuLab VST directory. To do this, 1) Close MuLab, 2) navigate to Applications> MuLab> User> Settings> VstPlugins.Xml. 3) Trash that Xml file. 4) Open MuLab, then MULAB>Manage VST Plugins>Add Vst Plugins>OK. MuLab will rebuild that file.

When I move a lot of plugins in and out of my OSX VST folder, OSX seems to 'misplace' some lines of code, but rebuilding a new file as above always fixes it straightaway. I have no trouble with OSX plugins in MuLab, even ones with multiple popup windows.

This was a new install... I loaded these vsts from scratch after installing MuLab. Do you have any Air plugins?

Post

No, but I visited the Air Music company forum here in kvr. The first thread says that Air plugins have compatibility issues with different DAWs and OSs that they are addressing in a major update that is coming soon....

Hmmm... they work fine in Studio One 2 and Live. So I assumed they would work in MuLab... I did download Energy-xt beta to test them and the interfaces don't show up their either so maybe there is a problem. ???

Thx for midi and vst management :)

Honestly???? Would be a very great feature especially for beginners, who could build their own sequences and chords from existing ones!!!!

A little bit curious here .... :-)

Updated MuLab 6.3.2 available in http://www.mutools.com/forsythia/

What's changed:
  • Dropping a MIDI file on the browser when it's at Sequences + This Session will import the MIDI file as a new sequence.
  • You can now also drag-drop a MuSequence or MIDI file onto the sequence editor, that will merge the file into that sequence.
  • Further optimized speed for operations that have many thousands of objects for example importing a big MIDI file as a single sequence.
  • Fixed a bug in the new Sequence -> Export MIDI File function.
  • Dropping a MuSequence file on a sequence field didn't immediately update the sequence name. Fixed.
  • Amplifier gain pad values where not displayed right. Fixed.
How to upgrade from MuLab 6.2.x or up: Simply replace the MuLab.app / MuLab.exe + MuLab.ID files by the new versions.

Love the MIDI adds. And the floating window bar changes, nice! You're really on it man.
A feature request(too lazy to open a new topic): one that's not important but "would be nice". I noticed that multipoint envelopes can be saved as presets within MUX, could there be a way to save as presets within the composition window? I've been opening up two instances and have a small bank of envelopes that I can drag/drop to the other session, so like I said, this isn't important, just nifty.
Mulab rocks with all sorts of original ideas, can't wait to see where this goes. Good day!
