True, actually. I just wanted it. So there. :)

You should talk to my wife sometimes about her monthly clothing budget. :hihi:
Know that very well...

Within the last months I spent almost 2,500 euros on car repairs, now that is expensive. And Omni 2 is a lot more attractive than my shitty car...

Omni 2 expensive? It's only three VSTs (Zebra, Diva, Bazille for example).

If it's too expensive, maybe try getting a job... :hihi:

I tell people it beats paying a psychiatrist. :)

Oh yeah! Never knew the German football coach also scored The Shawshank Redemption. What a clever lad.

Meanwhile, they found a winner:
Jonathan Merrill was the conductor in the NFL commercial. That's him sampling several things in our Omni2 video. :-)

They also said they'll be doing other contests.

Eric has lost a lot of weight compared to those recording videos and the Omnisphere 2 promo video
circuit modeling and 0-dfb filters are cool

Is he the same? Image Glasses are different though...

That might actually get me interested if I can take deeply sampled instruments and drumkits and get crazy with them like I do in alchemy. Having alchemy kontakt and Reaktor I'm really kind of set for ways to get crazy with samples and there is literally only one sample set included with omnisphere that interests me. Even support for old Roland, emu and Akai discs would make this thing more exciting for me.

JJ
Imagine how crazy that would be! OH MAN!! IF Omni could utilize multi samples!! Hopefully in Omnisphere 2.5

edit: Just add sfz support and call it a day

Love omnisphere and ill be getting 2.0,i reckon its the nerdiest synth ever made,

Here's what Eric said on Twitter:

@Spectrasonics: @sabastianpegasu Requests start with key mapping, then velo mapping, then round robin, then scripting, etc etc. Pandora's box

The 1st 3 can't be that hard. It would be cool is they put a guitar scripting engine that lets you make trillian bass guitar type patches with ease.

Bummer. That's weird since their whole sample playback engine is designed around multisamples.
No, its only one sample per soundsource.

Here's what Eric said on Twitter:
@Spectrasonics: @sabastianpegasu It's definitely NOT a sampler, so don't think of it that way. That's why we carefully avoid the use of the word "samples".

@Spectrasonics: @sabastianpegasu Of course we understand the value of all of those sampler-types of features, but we want to keep Omnisphere purely a synth.

@Spectrasonics: @sabastianpegasu Requests start with key mapping, then velo mapping, then round robin, then scripting, etc etc. Pandora's box

@Spectrasonics: @sabastianpegasu Our team has designed MANY of the most popular samplers, so we know what it entails…so we understand the desire.
The factory sound sources are most definitely multisamples. Which is why it's odd they won't let users use multisamples. Oh well. They'll turn this thing into something I find useful one day I'm sure.

It's a mix. The more natural stuff is multisampled (and of course the Trilian basses massively so) but a great many of the factory soundsources are single samples only. I'd be interested to know how many, actually.

Whew, that was a good laugh.

You say 'rompler' like it's a bad thing to be ashamed of.
