But that said, there should be no big difference in sound between the new and the old SE version. The main reason I moved towards a native plugin was Mac and 64 bit compatibility (which now also seems in reach for SE...).
Also, as mentioned before, the sound engine of the Synthedit was a C++ coded custom module.

In fact, the new version uses the same code for the oscillators, and I only changed the code for the anti alias filters in the current version.
