Items purchased a-la-carte inside of the Custom Shop are not transferable to another user or other account. We are working on this to allow Custom Shop purchases to be transferable. More information to come.

Collections that are purchased in the Custom Shop can be transferred, as they are provided a serial number in your account.

Individual T-RackS processors purchased from the IK webstore can be transferred as of T-RackS v.4.5.
This is probably a bit outdated and I'll get likely nowhere with it, but.....

In the bold, it almost sounds like you can transfer something that you bought that was T-racks. Like for example, the 432 for example. If not, this is silly. I've always been able to transfer stuff with a SN (with the transfer fee of course) so not sure what is meant of "as of 4.5"

Clarification needed. Thanks

If you buy a single TRacks processor via anywhere else except the Custom Shop, you can transfer your license. Anything bought in the Custom Shop (or any promotional items, like freebies) cannot be transferred.

For that reason, I just don't use the Custom Shop for purchases.

Can't comment on the "T-RackSv4.5" meaning, but it is my understanding that any product in your IK user area that has a "License Transfer" option below it is re-sellable.

For example, you may have noticed that any free items you obtained through the recent group buy do not have a license transfer option below them, whereas the initial item you purchased (for the GB) does.

I may be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's the indicator.

Not disagreeing with you because i obviously dont know, but i was a little annoyed when i bought the IK73, took the precision limiter as my freebie, and they would only list the limiter inside my user area. Did it again with the IK81 - took the buss comp as my freebie - and buss comp goes into my user area. I cant understand what planet this makes sense on.

I didnt even touch IK during their 5 for 1 deal. They just use tactics that feel extremely greasy to me.
There ya have it...

The transfer policy and process is in our FAQ and the IK team is also happy to answer any pre-sales questions you may have. The FAQ can be located at http://www.ikmultimedia.com/faq/1111 and states (emphasis mine, highlights promotional products):
IK FAQ wrote:Please note that not all software is transferable. Items received for free via a promotion are not transferable. Purchases made inside of the Custom Shop using Gear Credits are not transferable to another user or account.

In order to transfer an IK Multimedia software license to another person, the current rights owner must purchase a "License Transfer Credit" in IK Multimedia's online store.

If you already have one, please go to the User Area > My Products > (product name) > License Transfer. Paste your License Transfer Credit number in the proper empty field, and click Transfer. This process will remove the serial number from your account and allow the new user to register it. After the license transfer has been completed, the previous rights owner is not allowed to retain any copy of the media.

If you do not have one yet, please purchase a "License Transfer Credit" in the IK Multimedia's online store. Only OEM versions and versions bundled with third-party products can be transferred free of charge and without a "License Transfer Credit".

Please contact IK Multimedia Support if the product you wish to transfer is not listed in your account or if you are having troubles on transferring your license.
The part about T-RackS 4.5 isn't out of date, that is the version that contained changes that made it possible to easily transfer the single processors easily using the quick and easy license transfer method detailed above without having to wait or contact IK to do so.

subconscious programming...
I don't know what to write here that won't be censored, as I can only speak in profanity.

I wasn't coffee-fueled enough to break out the thesaurus or to go through the "grammar police filter" to catch the doubled word but the process is quick, easy, and automated so that you can transfer eligible products with no hassle. I could request that we add a layer of complexity like others who require you contact them and wait, etc, if you'd like.

This is also stated in the FAQ dated 2013-05-21. Saying it will be possible at some point to transfer Custom Shop purchases. I contacted IK support at the beginning of May 2014 about this and they said this was not yet ready , but maybe in a month or two. Any update on this Peter?
