Hey, sorry i have no testing environment for Ubuntu, but usually you only need one midi port and it is not important wich one you use.
On Mac OSX i use the system internal IAC Driver. Will try to find someone who can help you out.
cheers

The problem seems to be the qmidinet itself. Trying different solution and will post step-to-step quide for ubuntu if succesful.
EDIT:
1. I used the alsa virtual midi ports (sudo modprobe snd_virmidi)
- I also added the ALSA Virtual MIDI script, though it might not be necessary:
http://www.bitwig.com/en/community/cont ... idi_1.html
2. Put host computer in OSC targets, port 8000 (this is basically as in pictures before)
- no midi target setup needed
3. Setup the ports in Bitwig
Had to restart Bitwig in order to start, but fumbled so much it could be just me
Excellent work with script, I would love to see the kind of isometric keyboard Push has, with ability to use scales. Also, pitch bend and mod wheel for the keyboard, ability to load instruments on the tracks, create and duplicate tracks etc, etc...

Awesome, thats really great news! Glad you enjoy it.
Can i use that information for my install instructions as well?
Feature wise, yes thats something that is definatly going to come into the template. I'm currently just learning all kind of stuff about modes and chords etc. to make this fully flexible.
Also there is this idea here wich i really like as well.

But for now, i actualy would like to bring all the features in that are currently available and not yet implemented from the script that moss provides and also redesign some pages to make them look better on Android devices.
I spent quite a lot of time at the end of the last year with the template, so now i would like to focus on this first and then think about new features etc.
Also at the end of the month there are a few important exams i need to take, so learning has kind of priority right now.
But feel free to ask for whatever you have in mind and we'll see how we can make it. Those piano stuff will come for sure.
cheers and have fun!

If you find it of any help, absolutely! Good luck with all that, I'd help if I knew how to do it. Also, good luck with tests!Suloo wrote:

Sorry, this is my 4th Noob post this week.
I got lemur and Bitwig last week. following this thread I have BitwiglemuriPad104.jzml setup. However, I can't seem to figure out how to get the pads and keys to work.
With FM8 selected I get no response regardless of tuning. With Maschine only the C & C# pads or keys trigger anything regardless of octave tuning.
If anyone can point me in the right direction I would be very appreciative!
This community is blowing my mind! Thanks.

did you install the latest OSC4Bitwig by moss from his github page?

I'm pretty sure, I downloaded it lastnight off of Github per the instructions here and from the readme.Suloo wrote:did you install the latest OSC4Bitwig by moss from his github page?
Also, the transport and mixer controls work. Only the device, pad, and key controls are buggy.

When you move a fader in Bitwig, does the fader in Lemur also move?
Are you on Mac or PC?
I think it's something related to the OSC communication.
Will need to check but not before next week sadly.

Yes, I get fader feedback both ways. Also, a handy value window pops up in Bitwig when I adjust certain values in Lemur. I especially love how the names and colors of my tracks show up in Lemur.
I am on Mac with Mavrick. Would it help to upgrade to Yosemite?
Let me know if any screen shots will help.
Thanks Suloo!

Just tried it here, pads & keys are working fine on my machine. Also Mavericks.
Maybe try this version: https://www.dropbox.com/s/xedo3uska3xmy ... .jzml?dl=0
Also did you record arm your tracks that you want to play?

What issues do you have on the device page?

I loaded _5 to replace _4 and the keys and pads work fine for all of the instruments.
I think my issue with device page is I just haven't figured it out yet.
How do you get the pads to trigger sound instead of notes in Maschine? That is the only plug that isn't working the way I want it to in lemur.
I still have allot of fun learning ahead of me, thanks for the help!
Cheer!

Sorry, no idea about machine, never used it. Probaply it works like a sampler? Like you have to load the sounds and they can be triggered with notes then?
I'll make a video about the device page, it also needs some improvement yes.
Glad it works now!
cheers
