All I'm saying is $249 for the upgrade is a little high. I'm not looking for a free upgrade...I don't mind paying for it. 25% seems reasonable to me.

Taijiguy - seriously, re-read the rest of this thread, argument and counter-argument have been thoroughly done to death.

don't bother, taijiguy. if fanboiuk tells you your opinion is not valid, because he's argued it to death, just accept it. there, i've saved you 45 pagesnoiseboyuk wrote:Taijiguy - seriously, re-read the rest of this thread, argument and counter-argument have been thoroughly done to death.

I got out of the habit of hanging around KVR, and I remember why I stopped now. Some people are determined to keep the place as a kids playground with puerile name calling and idiotic comments.el-bo (formerly ebow) wrote:don't bother, taijiguy. if fanboiuk tells you your opinion is not valid, because he's argued it to death, just accept it. there, i've saved you 45 pagesnoiseboyuk wrote:Taijiguy - seriously, re-read the rest of this thread, argument and counter-argument have been thoroughly done to death.
The pricing issue has been discussed over about 2/3rds of the previous pages. Arguments and counter-arguments, all sides aired and re-aired. So when someone comes along on page 45 who hasn't read all those, are we bound to repeat all the same points all over again for no reason? I guess we are, because when it's simply pointed out that "we've been here before", it gets a response like this.

you obviously don't follow the marketplace. quite a few people sold there copy because they thought that omnisphere was finished as a product.Ned Bouhalassa wrote:Not really. I doubt this very, very much.AstralExistence wrote:... seems a lot of people also sold omnisphere.

he is entitled to his opinion, no matter what page. it is irrelevant how many times YOU have expressed how worth it it is in your opinion. all of the info and all the demo videos are available for anyone to see, and if people come away with a feeling that the upgrade price is too much to ask then..........
you don't have to repeat anything. i am sure if he needs your opinion he will go back and find it

Okay, but who told you he hasn't read the thread? Maybe the whole discussion hasn't changed his mind? Not possible? Especially when his sentence started: "All i'm saying is.."?noiseboyuk wrote:I got out of the habit of hanging around KVR, and I remember why I stopped now. More seriously, would have meant IMO, to allow the upload of some sampled presets format (the majority of factory presets are multi sampled anyway), rather than single samples...but it's a nice beginning, upload of multi sampled presets might very likely create some instabilities...
though is stays a bit pricey for me, i'll certainly buy the update when finished.

It shows 9 instances. There were many many more. Threads got deleted renamed etc. I know this because I attempted to buy from two people who do not even appear in that list but are in my PMs.zvenx wrote:Marketplace search for omnisphere over the past year.AstralExistence wrote:you obviously don't follow the marketplace. quite a few people sold there copy because they thought that omnisphere was finished as a product.Ned Bouhalassa wrote:Not really. Well it's possible it was not well worded - had he / she read it, then I'd expect something to reflect the opinions and arguments raised one way or the other, rather than express it as a brand new thought as if the rest of the discussion had never happened.valerian_777 wrote:Okay, but who told you he hasn't read the thread? El-bo, it's always particularly fun to follow kiddie kiddie name calling and misrepresenting others' views with a catch all "lighten up". But you carry on, it does appear to be almost a full time job for you to rag against people who express different views to you, either individually or en masse (classic intelligent debating technique - brand those who like something you don't as cult members collectively, and fanboys individually). Well, who am I to deny others' fun?
For those who sold - in some ways, especially post-Camel, I can understand folks misinterpreting silence on the part of a developer as a sign that something is amiss. As I've said before, I think the Camel incident has been hugely damaging to the community as a whole - the charity-giving good guys who just jumped ship without warning. I'm not sure what the answer is - if a developer keeps everyone dangling with everything they're working on, you end up with the East West position of having products we've literally been waiting 10 years on that have never appeared. If you keep schtum, people might think you've just run away. And it must be hard to keep a forum presence going when you can't talk about anything you have in the pipeline.
But as someone who still uses Omni 1 in pretty much anything, even if Eric & Co had sailed off to Hawaii never to make another note again, it would never have entered my head to sell.
