I think we will see/hear a bunch of various cool experimental things as people begin to explore it.

Over time, we will stat to hear purposeful control and traditionally musical structures start to emerge.. (though with a novel perspective...)

I think we are in the bacteria phase so far. we have not even gotten to the amoeba phase yet. Just wait until we get into fish, reptiles, birds, mammals etc.

I'll try to do a video or two this coming week...

I for myself claim to already have reached the amoeba phase

After weeks and months of working more in the traditional, tonal and also conventional rhythmical domain of KS, I am currently most interested in tonal fields which I have never heard before and could never compose in any way; this in combination with unusual perforations of the resonating material and in/out-of phase cycles of the Input/Output and images I can compose in respect to what they will actually do to the sound, is revolutionary and totally fascinating.

Given the vast number of presets, it would be helpful to have a way to rate them or at least designate "favorites" - lots of plugin browsers add that feature.

Re rating presets, waveforms and images: +1 to the idea. I mentioned this a few days back. Since it's so common, I can't imagine it would be too difficult to implement. It would crowd the screen "real estate" a bit, making wider columns necessary so more shifting right and left would be required... Also, the "random" function might not work as well, since with potential star ratings or whatever you couldn't see listings for 160 or more files all at once... Still, I heartily approve of the idea!

Save a duplicate under your user folder. Surely you will want to tweak it a little to make it yours.

On a new preset with dorian tuning I tried which of the available knobs would actually be automizable, and I found one

and it looks cool too..., 2 fresh ArtMatic images are shaping the resonators, one of my Zebra patches is playing the sequence, some ping-ponging ÜberMod delay on a Bus.

Sure, and all the images and waveforms of interest too? That's a workaround, not a solution. I already save my own variations but if I want to tag 200 of the most interesting finds that is not a great approach. Why not a tagging system like most modern plugins?

I've been eyeballing B2 while I play around with its demo. I'd never claim to be well-versed in the finer points of reverb, but I like this one a lot. I have any number of capable reverbs, but B2 is giving me a vibe. Maybe it's lusher than the others, maybe not, but I think I should have it either way. I'm happy to be swayed by the impressions of others with more experience. It sounds good to my ears and has so much flexibility.
Hmmmm. And then, there's the far out sounds that don't fit into the traditional reverb category...

It's funny, since KS was released, I've ignored traditional music structures and simply thought in terms of sound collages and heavy effects experimentation. It's been a fun escape from tradition. I think I'll ride this out a little longer...

It would not be too hard to do for presets. I supposed we could simply add some field to the preset file itself. Then we could display the preset in a particular font color in the browser(s) if tagged. Modifier-click on it could tag it. And we could add a menu item to do the same.

Keyword search could be used to find only tagged items.

All of this is fairly simple.

The challenge would be: if we allow tagging factory presets then we should not overwrite them when reinstalling or doing updates. And it is useful at the moment to be able to do this as we may make changes or additions to factory content at will.

The second challenge would be tagging resource files. Not quite sure where we would save tagged state info for images, waveforms, or scales.

So it would seem some kind of sperate databse file should save tag info. That gets to be more complicated.

Something to think about.
