Can the Output of one channel be routed to the Input of another channel?

Like it says in the subject... i'd like to do a serial routing from channel to channel on the Receptor, but there's no obvious way to do this. i am assuming it is not possible, but i thought i would pose the question here anyway.

i'm stuck at version 1.7, by the way, so if it was added as a feature in version 1.8 specifically, i will be irritated :-P .

The reason i want to do this is to try to use Receptor as a massive multi-effects unit. i have tried to get Console to run on Receptor but it fails installation as unsupported plugin. It would have been ideal :-( .

Hello,

You'd be correct. There is not a feature I know of on the Receptor in which you can route outputs into the other channels.

If you have an ADAT interface you could do some hardware routing. Just patch cables between the inputs and outputs. A Behringer ADA800 would do the trick.

Hi Everyone,

If you are trying to merge multiple instrument outputs into an effect, you might consider using the effects busses. Rather than a serial routing from plug to plug, this is more like a 'star' (multi to one).

Hope that helps,

Sorry. A little late to this party. I'm not sure which Receptor you have or what Mode you're running in but I can attest that I can use the output of a channel with an instrument plugin instantiated in Mixer Mode as the Source for another channel which will offer you three more effects. I'm pretty sure this was possible at the time of your inquiry as the Receptor 4tro/3io was out by this time and the version of Mixer Mode I'm running is 1.2. Hope this helps - even a year later.
