Here's the best description - John Fisher (A leslie guru) describing difference between stereo and rotary:

Thank you for the bank, Yvonne!
Yes I do. I was trying (unsuccessfully) to invent a dark snare.photonic wrote:

This is really goodphotonic wrote:Hi all,

I tried some today and I think the sound quite usable. First you hear the sounds dry, only with internal effects of the synth. Second part is with EQ on each sound and the FerricTDS (Variety of Sound) in the master channel.

Here the presets from this demo:
You know Yvonne, about 36 years ago I decided I wanted to start writing music. I had no idea if I'd be any good, nor did I care. It was just something I was going to do. There were times when I wondered if I was wasting my time with all the negative comments I was getting (and rightfully so) but several industry professionals essentially said to me that if I didn't keep at it, I'd never know and I might actually end up regretting it.Mojo42 wrote:Hi all,
some nice guys from the Eclipsis Thread put me gentle in chains and dragged me to here for to join the party(I`m just kidding).
Let`s say: They motivated and encouraged me and although I`m very shy(
) I`m defeated and so I will also try to produce something for this contest. I will probably need the whole time until the deadline as far as I know myself. I hope that I can make it in time.
@Tatanka: As you see I`m also here now. I suppose you are very amused now. Are you?Good luck Richard.
@BbluntProductions: You`re welcome![]()
@sfiks: LOL. That`s just great!!! That`s the most happy Blues I`ve ever listened. No I don`t mind you using the name for the track. It suits very well. I`m glad that my presets seem to work well in practise. Good luck![]()
I have got a last question (for the moment):
It seems that it is useful to open up a Soundcloud account for the OSC entry only, right?
I suppose that I should use my KVR forum avatar and my KVR username for this OSC account. Also right?
I have got already a Soundcloud account, but using another Username for it and so my question is: Is it possible to open up 2 different accounts on Soundcloud and do I have to know something before I try to open up a second Account? By the way: I`m new to Soundcloud and also haven`t got any uploads yet, that is why I rather ask before I try something.
Cheers
Yvonne
I would say no. Only one person I think in OSC has done this, so it's not common at all. A lot of people like getting the comments / plays which helps motivate them using the same account.wagtunes wrote: It seems that it is useful to open up a Soundcloud account for the OSC entry only, right?

Upload phobia. Eh, screw it. What's the worst that can happen? Somebody says it sucks? I can wallpaper my house with all the rejection letters I got from music publishers.Mojo42 wrote:@wagtunes: Thanks for telling me your experiances and conclusions. Originally I know that you are right, it is just that I have to overcome my upload "phobia"![]()
Concerning the age: Hm, I would call myself an old woman (although I feel like a child)And yes you are also right in what you said about becoming older. Carpe Diem

@bjporter: Thanks for the info. Okay then I will use the Soundcloud account I already have.

To be honest, the first few OSC's i participated in, I sweated before uploading, and could barely sleep. But after a while I think it was therapeutic.wagtunes wrote: Upload phobia. Eh, screw it. Wayne Gretzky said it best.

I think with age (I don't know how old you are) you reach a point where nothing bothers you anymore. I'm 57 and decided I'm going to give this OSC a shot if for no other reason than to see how bad I really am. The synth has some work issues for me (not easy to use in my DAW) so it's going to be a challenge in areas that I normally don't even have to think about, but that'll be good. It'll test me to see how well I can do with sub optimal tools at my disposal such as premium plugins and so on. I'm using all the stock verbs and compression that came with Cubase. It's real culture shock. LOL.bjporter wrote:To be honest, the first few OSC's i participated in, I sweated before uploading, and could barely sleep. Also, someone somewhere hates your music. There's always somebody, so just try and make stuff you like, and practice / read up on tips, etc.

Hey, just have fun with it. It's not like somebody's going to come to your house and take away your music privileges.
