Just wondering.. Why is it included with Zebra2? Seeing as it is a free plugin why not offer it separate?

Why would one still use Zebralette when one has Zebra (I know I don't).

I apologise if this is a no no, but I always try to keep unnecessary tools and stuff I don't use to a minimum, so I would like a version of Zebra where Zebralette is not a part of the install package. (I know.. very OCD

)

Zebralette is devised as a tool to learn how to deal with Zebra's oscillators - it doesn't have any filters, it's just the oscillator and some effects. You can use it to "start small" then you can transplant the learned to its bigger brother.

Yeah, but not needed for people who are prepared to by Zebra2, they are ready to dive in that synth? (at least that is the intention)

I suppose so.

It's still a decent pool of patches there for Zebralette. However currently if you try and load them into Zebra, it crashes Zebra. This used to work, so I'm hoping for a bugfix.

Urs mentioned in a post some time back it was part of his plan for world domination.

People download Zebralette because it's free. They install the Zebra2 demo along with it at the same time. Users start to like Zebralette but wish it just had one or two more features...Well, they can load up those presets in Z2, and it's already waiting there to be used.

And that's how you get another convert into the fold.

I'd be surprised if Zebralette became unbundled. But it's no big deal to remove it, just delete the Zebralette.dll on Windows or the Zebralette.vst/.component on OS X. Keep the presets around because you can load those in Z2, you just need to move them under the Zebra2 Presets folder.

Aha! I thought it was "just me!" I've been trying to load Zebralette OSC's/patches and ZebraCM patches as well, and lately (whether via Reaper or my Savihost I set up for the task), it locks/goes to '...not responding.'

Is it just this latest build that's doing it? Anyone know? Thanks!
