glad to see that there is at least enough time to release some commercial expansion packs while hundreds of people would rather see some bugfixes

excuse my sarcasm, but this really is like a slap in the face for all of the people waiting so long

Just checking to make sure: You do know that the software engineers are a separate working group to sound designers, yes?

yes, i do. my post was purely ironic, sorry if that was not clear enough.
imo it just was not a very appropriate move from the folks at air - to release some commercial sound sets while there are several customers who can't even use their software to its full extents because of missing bugfixes. even IF the sound sets are ready it would have been a sign of loyalty and setting the right priorities to hold them back until the long overdue patches are out.
this is just my opinion, i certainly do not want to say that its perfectly right or wrong

I understood your irony, and I understand the frustration as well (I apologise if my reply offended), but I'm not sure holding back finished products is commercially viable for any business.

I'm lucky, as the AIR software I'm using (Loom, Vacuum Pro, Velvet, Hybrid3, The Riser and Transfuser) are all working fine for me, so bugfixes don't worry me just now, but obviously if there are people for whom the software doesn't work as expected then bug fixes would be all they were interested in.
Two sides and all that

Oh I misread that, so there are some commercial expansion packs? I thought you were asking for some. Where are they?

You can check out our new packs here, there will be a series of around 50 rolling out over the next six months.

No development cycles where harmed in the creation of these packs.

Support for new daw updates and reported issues where at the forefront of this update.
Around a quarter of a million users are eligible to claim these free updates, so we are ensuring the system is bullet proof and robust. The snow has delayed this but rest assured it is top priority.

never mind - didn't take your post personally and didn't want to raise a quarrel either :ud: guess i was just a little "emotional" when i saw the news on the ep today. in the end, it won't be much longer now and it will all be good after all :tu:

Post

That's what we hope for :tu:

No quarrel either....everyone has their right to an opinion :)
