Probably. Perhaps it should be called Moebius. I just hope it does have an end after all..Nielzie wrote:Loomer Eternity.. hmmm sounds good. Did we suggest that name already 3 years ago?![]()

Eternity will take advantage of the unique Loomer "anticip-8" multi-stage envelopes. Attack-Sustain-Delay-Release.
Perfect for ever-evolving soundscapes. The preset "hell hath frozen" will demonstrate the never-ending potential waiting to be discovered.

Something stirs from deep within the dark chasms. A flicker of movement. A new update to a Loomer plug no doubt. Could it be an indication of that which we so desire is nearing the light of day?

I again tried to do Midi mangling with Reaktor recently but it creates too much grey hair to keep events in line, neither having stuck notes nor dropped notes is a nightmare. I guess it's possible up to a point, but it definitely is no fun.
So here I am, dreaming of !Epoch as the saviour of my hair colour...
Go Colin Go!

But at least you seem to care about the hair colour of your customers which the devs at Native Instruments seem less concerned about, at least when it comes to midi
If I would plan a new Midi replacement (I'd actually love to) the first thing I would do is making each note an entity which knows about itself, if it's sounding or not etc. and has a unique ID so that it can be tracked during it's lifetime. And you wrote somewhere that you did exactly that...
This is where my high hopes come from

Tom

Speaking as a formerly ginger, now excessively receeding gent, Reaktor sounds like the answer to all my prayers - installing as I write with a whole 124 tracks of black midi notes @64ths replete with all 128 CC's ready to go.ThomasHelzle wrote:I again tried to do Midi mangling with Reaktor recently but it creates too much grey hair to keep events in line, neither having stuck notes nor dropped notes is a nightmare. I think it is a little bit silly to be comparing (Even already expecting better) this unreleased plugin to one of the most powerful pieces of audio software ever released (Reaktor) hahaha
Might be worthwhile waiting to see what this new software does, it may be even more complicated to work with than Reaktor, nobody but the developer knows at this point.

Reaktor is an audio software, midi isn't really it's strenght - it's clumsy at best at it - and it's showing it's age...
!Epoch is newly created as a modular midi tool for all we know.
So I don't think it's unrealistic to expect it to be "slightly" better at it...
As for waiting: that's what we do
With all the usual anticipational speculation and hope
