Has anyone had luck using the Factory 6.2 FX Delay presets with Ableton Live? No matter what I send any in that group, including just white noise, I get nothing out. I suspect it has to do with the tuning setting of BPM host, but KS is receiving clock from Live so I don't know what is wrong....

So how are people finding performance now? I couldn't even run it at first release, should I try again?

jc_vt: same here with 6.2 delays and 6.3 granular. I do get the normal sound from the AU plugins but no sound processing. This is with version 1.01.
Tested the demo on another computer (v. 1.0) in same daw (live) and I do get the processed sound. Maybe something changed with the 1.01 version?
Still looking into it...

Hi! I just purchased this cool plugin with the Architecture KS expansion. I click on Import Library Expansion and pointed it to the library file. A little progress swipey thing goes across and it looks like it's working hard to import thousands of presets. However, I don't see the presets in my preset list. I tried restarting the host and no dice. I would expect to see a new category between Factory and Sound Designers but maybe I'm mistaken.
My host is Ableton Suite 9.1.7 on Windows 7 64-bit and Kaleidoscope is at 1.0.1 A379.
Any help is appreciated!

Its exponentially better in string modes and the same in spring / FIR modes.Echoes in the Attic wrote:So how are people finding performance now? I couldn't even run it at first release, should I try again?
It runs fine for me for the most part off of a retina display as there is still the bug with Retina display eating CPU.

I was one of the people, who originally said, that it all sounds very similer. However, after hearing more and more demos that' is definitely not the case. So apologies.
I've been honestly trying to put myself of buying this... But I'm really liking what hearing.
Finger on paypal.

Slightly OT, but I just bought B2 and I have to say, I think it is an excellent tool to work along side of KS (and everything else). I've just been clicking presets so far, but there are some wild sounds in there. Between the two, there is a lot of wide open potential for intriguing sounds. I think I'll enjoy it.

B2 pretty much instantly became my "goto" reverb for the vast majority of my reverb needs the moment I first used it. It just sounds so "right" and is extremely flexible getting the exact sound you want.rustman wrote:Slightly OT, but I just bought B2 and I have to say, I think it is an excellent tool to work along side of KS (and everything else). I tried Aether and while it was nice the UI and featureset just wasn't my cup of tea where B2 is. What a steal for 50% off... seriously

A stochastic kind of loop - made with Metasynth by resynthesizing a texture made with Kaleidoscope, retuning and carving out most of it - meets another Kaleidoscope texture meets Molekular/DNA meets Aether meets Soundcloud meets this thread.

No kidding on the half price. I went ahead and popped for the preset expansions and I'm glad I did. I got into some of the resonant presets with a drum loop and was amazed how metallic it sounded. I'm talking just picturing steel drum and barrels when listening. Then when it comes to looooong tails and valhalla shimmer type sounds, this rocks. I haven't had time to even scratch the surface yet.Voice303 wrote:B2 pretty much instantly became my "goto" reverb for the vast majority of my reverb needs the moment I first used it. Rich and bubbly track, thanks for showing, quite a circuitous route. I'm hunkering down with Serum these days, similar richness reached by different pathways, Still Simon made the presets, so it's good to be around this neck of the woods. Seems like beyond the cutting edge these days...Sampleconstruct wrote:A stochastic kind of loop - made with Metasynth by resynthesizing a texture made with Kaleidoscope, retuning and carving out most of it - meets another Kaleidoscope texture meets Molekular/DNA meets Aether meets Soundcloud meets this thread.

There goes another sleepless night with KS...
I think this is most beautiful - a Marimba/Xylo-like texture made only with the internal noise generator of Kaleidoscope using two of my images and a tuning file from the factory library.
