As somebody that used VST3.7 and VST5.1 up until SX3 arrived, I can't confirm this.
Undo for Audio, maybe... Also WAV handling (not in the same folder, unless you did that yourself - which you should have done anyway) - I don't remember anymore as it's too long ago.

But it was only "destructive" if you used the "offline audio FX" (read: non-realtime stuff) or didn't create a "new version". I never had "destroyed" source files. Maybe because I made copies of it and then worked with them.

I remember one morning driving into work, stuck in traffic, thinking 'I love Cubase'
:scared:

Looks like fate have it that there's actually a thread on Cubase 3.7 HERE as Yandex search put me right back here looking for vintage 'knowledge bases'... Not many anywhere even the wayback...

There are some here-

Down to 1998 still current pretty amazing....

Testing out Ebay purchase of a couple weeks ago this morning decided to do simple tune in 3.7... Just REX no RX2 so 'mono' recycle files but works quite well... Have tested some mixman TRK files not as good as REX forget that...

So anybody know of any old Cubase VST24 sites let me know...

Made simple track all works well in XP sometimes scrubber freeze but if I got a REX segment open seems not to, no worries-

No HiQ just 16bit... Amazingly seems to use no CPU or RAM even when testing gregarious synths & here's the upshot take a look at the system requirements-

'Cubase needs a POWERFUL computer'...?!... They recommend 64MB on a 200 MHZ machine... Folks there ain't NOBODY who can code like that anymore, even the Steinberg folks...

Cubase what 13? Don't keep up with it but as I see it needs...Wait for it-

Cubase Pro 13

Notes
This software version does not support 32-bit plug-ins. VST 2 plug-ins only run in Rosetta 2 mode on Apple silicon Mac. Cubase does not support VST 2 when running natively on Apple silicon Macs.

WOW... Would not take it for free 8 GB RAM? For what? So it needs 125 times more RAM let alone windows 11 spyware which takes up a bundle of RAM & let's not forget the graphics sucking RAM & CPU...

By this time you got a great heater for your home with all those electrons running about...

Something went wrong a long time ago tight coding is gone & no it isn't 'progress' as there actually are current programs that run on old hardware such as ChaSys Draw IES the photoshop killer-

https://www.jpchacha.com/chasysdraw/

No bloat runs great on XP can use all modern formats & then some... So if THAT Guy can do it anybody else could but no let's all get lazy because machines are more powerful now....
