Damp knob doesn't help me with this issue. None of the delay presets generate sound for me. Thanks.

No, Damp Knob has no impact. Same with various presets in 6.3 as well (Chaotic Delays, Pulsed Grains). For some, every few seconds this is a momentary very loud noise, then nothing.
Galbanum wrote:jc_vt wrote:Has anyone gotten these to work? Is there a trick to using the BPM tuning setup?
Kalatrava wrote:jc_vt: same here with 6.2 delays and 6.3 granular. I do get the normal sound from the AU plugins but no sound processing. This is with version 1.01.
Tested the demo on another computer (v. 1.0) in same daw (live) and I do get the processed sound. Maybe something changed with the 1.01 version?
Still looking into it...
We're looking into it... There was an issue with Sound Forge regarding memory allocation for extreme settings (very low freq strings ARE extreme in terms of memory usage). We did something to fix it. Some other hosts might not like this solution... We are exploring...
Try moving the Damp knob.... does it bring back sound?

You are feeding them some input signal, yes?wesleymayhem wrote:Damp knob doesn't help me with this issue. None of the delay presets generate sound for me. Thanks.
You are using a 64-bit host, or a 32-bit host?

Latest test in Live 9/32-bit, both feeding input and setting white noise to 200%. Also tried in Numerology 4 Pro 64-bit
I should note that for some of the presets if I change tuning mode to Musical Note I get some sound out...

Andrew this may be related: I'm having issues with a few presets, specifically in the Ambient Atonal category, for example the first one, "Adrift". It loads, I hear a click and then no sound. This happens with several other presets. If I drop the max number of lines, sound eventually appears.Galbanum wrote:jc_vt wrote:Has anyone gotten these to work? I just took a new look at the "Adrift" preset. It is 2 String with waveform tuning with a range of 1 Hz to 100k Hz. Perhaps my problems are related to the memory usage you mentioned. I'm on a Windows 7 64-bit system with 8 GB of RAM. I tested in Sonar, Live, Reaper and Bidule. I also installed on a similar machine at work and got the same results.
Either way, not a big issue but I thought I'd let you know.
A big thanks to you and Denis for a truly original and inspiring tool!

Moving damp knob does not resolve the issue. Looks like all presets, which are using BPM Ratio tuning mode are not working (not producing sound, or producing it sporadically). I was reporting this issue using 2caudio support form (not sure if you were receiving these reports, because there was no confirmation from your side).Galbanum wrote: Try moving the Damp knob.... does it bring back sound?

You can live without Illustrator, so you can get the photographer's Adobe subscription of Photoshop/Lightroom at $10 per month.
Metasynth can be be regularly had for $199 and recently was even at $99. That may come up again.
You can get by with the free Audacity rather than Wavelab.
Artmatic is going to be on sale soon to Metasynth owners.

And a question: Where can you get crusher-x for $150? I only see it at €179. Would love to have it at $150

Yes, ok, good info...Valery_Kondakoff wrote: Moving damp knob does not resolve the issue. Looks like all presets, which are using BPM Ratio tuning mode are not working (not producing sound, or producing it sporadically).
seems we messed something up here when we optimized the string mode.
So yes, it seems at the moment String Res mode with BPM sync is broken. Guess I won't be making on delay examples this weekend...
We'll fix it in the 1.02. Thanks for the find!
Note BPM with Springs (not particularly useful) and BPM with FIR (yes, useful) does work correctly...

Unfortunately the prices for the Adobe Creative Cloud version with just Photoshop and Lightroom are $22 a month, I think not having illustrator in the setup would be kind of a shame for when you just want to generate vector graphics or work with imported graphics, So I would see going with at least the illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom trio then you are up around $55 here in Denmark, so why not go the whole way and get the complete package, suddenly you are draining your account for $600 a year, think of all the chocolate chip cookies you could get for that!lnikj wrote:To try and ease your pain a littleTwoToneshuzz wrote: Creative Cloud $640 business binding period 2 year

So when I have Capture One Pro a Raw converter that's fast being able to do almost everything you need except layers and adding graphic elements then paying $ 80 once for Affinity Design and Photo just seems like a good way to go for me..

Metasynth is listed on the web site as costing 599, I'm aware of the sale prices, but I never seem to be ready to get on board with it..
I think I'll have a look at Audacity again I tried it some years ago and though it looked nice it was at first glance not that easy to use, I'm demoing Wavelab elements, and I'm liking the workflow with it but if Audacity is just as easy to work with I'll give it a try before I buy..lnikj wrote: You can get by with the free Audacity rather than Wavelab.
I think Artmatic looks like an interesting program, now I've been into photography for years so if I'm going to create my own images to use in Kaleidoscope, at least at first I'll start with those, but if other users report that Artmatic it's extremely useful and the one to get for pairing with Kaleidoscope then I'll eventually pick it up!lnikj wrote:

On this Fuzzy logic Friday I seemed to remember when I looked up Crusher X that it was around $150. You are right €179 is the price, which put's it at $200 at present..lnikj wrote: And a question: Where can you get crusher-x for $150? I only see it at €179. Would love to have it at $150
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

Two KS instances... the first one produces the "auto string" generative pattern/ostinato which is already itself a shifting polyrhythm...
this goes into a second instance which uses FIR mode with BPM sync to produce tempo synced delays that also morph over time in their own distinct polyrhythm...
we're not worthy... we're not worthy...

For lucky US residents it is $10, I pay £8.57 in the UK, you pay 92.5kr I think - about $15?
I too am a photographer - Capture One Pro won the extensive RAW shootout that I did on one of my photography sites:TwoToneshuzz wrote:So when I have Capture One Pro a Raw converter that's fast being able to do almost everything you need except layers and adding graphic elements then paying $ 80 once for Affinity Design and Photo just seems like a good way to go for me..

I doubt if you'll find it as easy to work with, but it's ridiculously powerful for free software. Even has paulstretch built in now.I think I'll have a look at Audacity again I tried it some years ago and though it looked nice it was at first glance not that easy to use, I'm demoing Wavelab elements, and I'm liking the workflow with it but if Audacity is just as easy to work with I'll give it a try before I buy..

I really wanted Crusherx, and was ready to buy, but the demo crashes Cubase instantly on my machine as soon as I select it as an insert effect. After four crashes, each requiring full reboots, I put it aside. It works for others in WIN, so I'm sure it's probably something odd with my machine. Still a bummer though. I may try again some other time. The dev suggested trying it with a very simple DAW freebie (forgot what he suggested) and see if that does it.

I agree about Audacity, have been using it to make waveforms, and it's very easy once you know how to do it. A question: where is the Paulstretch feature? is that what is called "sliding time scale/pitch shift"?
