I think Artmatic looks like an interesting program, now I've been into photography for years so if I'm going to create my own images to use in Kaleidoscope, at least at first I'll start with those, but if other users report that Artmatic it's extremely useful and the one to get for pairing with Kaleidoscope then I'll eventually pick it up!

You should be aware that you can load photos as elements in Artmatic, then apply various filters and more to them, and combine with the intrinsic modes as well.

yup your right about $15 for Photoshop and Lightroom, but I only really need photoshop I'll keep using capture one as I have a huge library now and with media pro libraries in my past I don't think I'll be switching to lightroom anytime soon.. and remember if I buy the two programs for the $80 I'm good to go for a long while and seems they will do what I need them to do..lnikj wrote:Are you sure: https://creative.adobe.com/plans/photographyTwoToneshuzz wrote: Unfortunately the prices for the Adobe Creative Cloud version with just Photoshop and Lightroom are $22 a month, I think not having illustrator in the setup would be kind of a shame for when you just want to generate vector graphics or work with imported graphics, So I would see going with at least the illustrator, Photoshop, Lightroom trio then you are up around $55 here in Denmark, so why not go the whole way and get the complete package, suddenly you are draining your account for $600 a year, think of all the chocolate chip cookies you could get for that!
For lucky US residents it is $10, I pay £8.57 in the UK, you pay 92.5kr I think - about $15?
TwoToneshuzz wrote:So when I have Capture One Pro a Raw converter that's fast being able to do almost everything you need except layers and adding graphic elements then paying $ 80 once for Affinity Design and Photo just seems like a good way to go for me..
I too am a photographer - Capture One Pro won the extensive RAW shootout that I did on one of my photography sites:

To sum up I think the only program that could really interesting for getting the most out of the Kaleidoscope would be the RX 4 to clean up any unwanted artefacts. The image software and the audio editing programs seem either cheap enough like Wavelab elements or the free Audacity. I found RX 4 "basic" on a US site for an attractive price, so I think I*ll go for that sooner rather than later.
I'll check out your nomad lens site!

Really interesting, something magical at work here..Galbanum wrote:https://soundcloud.com/2caudio/ks-strin ... ese-garden

Two KS instances... the first one produces the "auto string" generative pattern/ostinato which is already itself a shifting polyrhythm...
this goes into a second instance which uses FIR mode with BPM sync to produce tempo synced delays that also morph over time in their own distinct polyrhythm...
we're not worthy... we're not worthy...

in regards to alternate tuning
this will convert any .scl file into a Kontact scrip or absynth tuning (and it's super cheap too)
http://hpiinstruments.zentral.zone/CSEsoftware.html
i wish KS had a native import of .scl files though
i am sure the different Wendy Carlos scales would do very very well

great melodyne tip!Sampleconstruct wrote:But if you have Melodyne, it provides great resources to extract tunings from any sound on this planet, just created a tuning from a clay vase texture sounding very microtonal with a tad of minor melodicSampleconstruct wrote:If anybody needs an app for creating tuning files, check out Scala - it's free:

Now I have to manually convert these values into a text files though....
