I could sell you stuff I don't need from my daughter for your baby and give you a 15% off "father" discount code on my products, like you're doing so well on your products, but since I ship from Canada, the shipping would kill the deal!

Would they be 16% if I use coupon code "Group"?Ryan99 wrote:I could sell you stuff I don't need from my daughter for your baby and give you a 15% off "father" discount code on my products, like you're doing so well on your products, but since I ship from Canada, the shipping would kill the deal!

People (including me) were asking about the effect of the upcoming Waves pricing changes on native prices. Just got an email from them:
Sure, the SoundGrid version will be included, but people who had (could afford) the hardware that made them need it were already buying that version. From here on out, everyone pays the SoundGrid price, whether they have any use for it or not.
I hope this CONJECTURE (which is what this is, justified though I think) is wrong, but I doubt it.
If anyone has official info, by all means speak up. In the mean time, I'm assuming that's the last of my Waves purchases, and I'll stay frozen at the current version of everything I have. Too bad, I actually like their stuff, when it's priced right.
Sounds to me like what people were afraid of: Native will cost what SoundGrid costs now.Take advantage of Native plugin prices now and enjoy an automatic upgrade to SoundGrid on March 1st.

Got this from IK:
I'm a big fan of Amplitube, it's my main ITB guitar setup these days, nearly but not quite fully loaded. Also a fan of T-RackS, and that IS fully loaded. That's due to buying in on sale initially, then buying credits in bulk when they were on sale, and participating heavily in group buys for both. I'm not a rich guy, music is a hobby now, need to play my cards right.
I BOUGHT A LOT OF CREDITS SO I WOULD HAVE THEM AVAILABLE WHEN NEW GEAR CAME OUT, WHICH LARGELY HASN'T HAPPENED SINCE THEN. IF I'D THOUGHT THEY MIGHT BE WORTH LESS IN THE FUTURE, I WOULDN'T HAVE BOUGHT THEM. WHY WOULD ANYONE, UNLESS THEY WERE PLANNING TO SPEND THEM REALLY SOON?
This is exactly the kind of thing that makes people hate a company. Sucks when you've stuck up for them then they pull this s**t.
Would it really have cost IK so enormously much to change pricing going forward, but grandfather in credits people already bought, and not crap on those customer relationships? To put it differently, if they need to raise the dollar price of credits, fine, do that, but leave the value of credits people already purchased alone.
Would have been a nice way not to alienate people who had enough faith in the company to buy in.
Short version appears to be that they're retroactively devaluing the Gear Credits we've purchased. F*** that.Heads up! There are some changes on the way in March that may affect you if you currently hold Gear Credits. To better streamline the IK online store and Custom Shop experiences, we will be reshuffling our pricing across the board and also readjusting the value of Gear Credits in the process. As a result of this, certain products will require more Gear Credits starting in March. This message is a courtesy to you, to let you know that you still have some time to take advantage of the prices now and spend your credits before the changes go into effect.
