Now that cat is out of the bag! It's not a manual it's a book and it is definitely a few, um several weeks out.

That's what I call a chunk of good news! :D
If it were easy, anybody could do it!

Does this mean there will be a proper updated manual, or just more third party material we can chose to buy?

I was disappointed to see we can no longer drag plugins onto tracks from the browser.

Why was this feature removed in T6 TSC?

Great news about the manual though!

They can be found in the 'Search' tab (both presets, plugins and loops). You can then assign tags if necessary. Perhaps you need to rescan your plugins for this to work?

The problem is they turn up at the bottom of a long list. (*)

Annoyingly, there seems no way to tag multiple items at once (ie all plugins as 'VST') which would be useful. Either than or it would make sense if plugins were tagged as such automatically.

And, to me, it doesnt make sense that the Plugins tab gets removed and replaced via Search, but the Presets tab stays, yet also gets folded into Search.

(*and IMO its still no replacement for a proper customisable plugin menu)

You can type in the category or manufacturer, even 'vst' in the box beneath the tags. Only 'synth' is difficult because it also shows the synth loops.

There's no way to set or change category, though, is there? Its kind of useless without that; half of the plugins on this system are 'Synth' or 'Effect', and the rest have no category at all, except for one; FabFilter Timeless, which is wrongly categorised as 'Reverb' .

Right-click, edit, invent your own categories.

Right-click, edit where?

Not able to in the plugin manager. Not able to in the search view. So... ?

In the browser. My plug-ins are all listed under Presets.

I am, by the way, able to drag plug-ins from the browser onto tracks.

yes, so are mine. And the only option in the right-click menu available on plugins there is 'Set Tags' which is a different from changing the Category of the plugin.

I can too, in the linux version. Is your window manager interfering perhaps danboid? I've noticed that Tracktion doesn't play very nicely with tiling.
