Dear Receptor users,
First of all, I would like to start to wish everybody a very great and musical 2012! Secondly, I have a small new year gift for you.
In the past year(s), I worked on a VST for the Receptor to assist with rehearsing songs. The plugin can play wave files, triggered by midi. Navigation commands can also be triggered from the keyboard. This way, it is not necessary anymore to hold a mouse/keyboard while transcribing songs. The plugin can also be used to play loops (e.g. beats to improvise on).
I hope that the plugin will be as useful and fun for you as it has been for me in the past years!
You can download it at: http://www.fatbee.nl
Please let me know your comments...
Best regards,
Fedde

Very Nice, Fedde!
This works well, and is quite useful!
I was programming Kontakt to do this -- Not anymore!
Thanks for programming this up!
Regards,
Kevin
PS. Now my Receptor is an iPod too!

Dear all,
I have made an update of the Rehearse plugin. The current version is 0.90B. Could anyone beta test this? Any comments are appreciated.
Note that I plan to release the 1.0 version this month.
The update can be found here:

Dear all,
I put an updated version v1.01 on the web. This release fixes the problem with some synths (e.g. Yamaha), where you had to keep pressing a key to keep the music playing.
Best regards,
Fedde

Dear all,
Finally the KVR forum seems to be online again!
I did not see any post in the Receptor forum yet, so I'd like to take the opportunity to wish you all a very great and Receptorized 2014! May many features be added and support for great plugins added this year.
To remain on-topic, quite a while ago v1.03 was release for Rehearse. Soon, I will release another (minor) release. It contains optimizations and (minor) bug fixes. I wonder who uses Rehearse currently. I'd love to hear feedback about the general usage of the plugin. E.g. do you use the plugin more for wave playback or rehearsing?
Regards,
Fedde

Dear Receptor users,
I put an updated version (v1.14) of the Rehearse VST plugin on the web, see: http://www.fatbee.nl
It includes a new feature to allow automatic startup of the first wave audio track. This way, a background track or beat can start automatically when you open a Receptor multi or snapshot.
Have fun!

Yeah! Great job - I just discovered the plugin. If I may take this opportunity to make a wish, it would be to trigger start and stop with the same key, and if possible to have a "skip back X seconds" feature, for transcribing... Yet again, thanks for Your most excellent work!

It's all in! You can assign a midi key to a certain wave to play/pause it. And you have "Backward" and "Forward" events to navigate with your keyboard within a song...

Hi, it is really nice piece of VST tool.
But is it that it somehow plays WAV files normalized ?? My set of tracks doesn't play at original levels - some of them should be low in volume, some of them very loud, but when played using the "Rehearse", those that should be quiet are loud
Any possibility to fix (if bug) or if it is intentional behavior, then to add an option (normalize YES/NO) , please?
(... + ignore velocity information option ?
Thanks

The normalisation was by design; not a bug! It made sense for the original use case: rehearsing songs. However for playing sound effects this may be less ideal. I created a new version (Rehearse v1.15) without normalisation, see my website.
By the way:"I have no plans for additional features in Rehearse as I focus now on the development of the extended version of Rehearse. This will include an option for midi triggered full velocity playback.
