Well I downloaded T6 for Linux and I had to uninstall T5 to get it to work, but now it only runs in demo mode.
I tried registering but I couldn't do it online so I tried the offline register but the only license available was for T5.
Could someone explain the situation; T6 and Linux?
Thanks

First you have to go on the Tracktion site, login to your account and search for the "add a license" place. Then you add the v5+v6 combo license, then you try again the offline registration, it should work. (At leas it worked for me after experiencing the same issues)
You can't always get what you waaaant...

The Linux version is free. You simply need to create an account on tracktion.com, go to your account and add the Linux licence as stanlea described. The offline registration is the most reliable method for unlocking the Linux version of Tracktion.

Not a Linux man myself but I followed the Linux trail. Click the main Linux menu and you see a penguin by the name of 'Free
Click start here (bottom right and I got a licence added to my account. Don't know what to do with it though. Installed mint once but never got my sound card working.
Hope this helps

Add a License and choose Tracktion 5 + 6. If you are unsure Tracktion is for you the when it asks you for a contribution you can type 0 in the box and you will still get a T5/T6 license.
You can always contribute towards Tracktion at a later date if you've not made your mind up.

Here's the direct link to the page where you get a license;
https://www.tracktion.com/account/signup/index/c/linux
Here's the steps I took to find that link
1) Go to http://www.tracktion.com
2) Click on the Linux link at the top
3) Click on the really big red button that says "Start Here"
4) That's it

Ok so what you are saying is even though I am already registered and I already have the T5Linux license, I have to re-register?chico.co.uk wrote:Here's the direct link to the page where you get a license;

Still makes no sense at all to me, it would be uber cool if one of the devs would chime in and help out.

That page allows you to register for a new account, but also has a link to "I think I already have an account", if you already have an account. I figured that out by reading the page.
Try logging into your account on the website, then go to that url, and see what you get.
You basically just click a button to say "yes, i'd like a T5/T6 linux license, thanks"
"my gosh it's a friggin hardware"
