Thanks for the tip aMUSEd

Pretty image there..
waves break, but somehow it all makes sense.

you want to delete the blue channel in images...

(it does not hurt anything, but it is not used, so it might confuse you when you look at the results in KS if the source image has a lot of blue...)

I should be able to do that in Capture One Pro..

Another very cool program for Mac users is Graphic Converter (now at version 9), it used to be free and since a few years the dev charges something, it's like a small sister for Photoshop and performs all basic duties (e.g. removing/substituting blue) very fast but can also get very complex if desired.

I'm thinking in terms of a philosophy for creating images. I'm inclined to keep things organic, i.e. perhaps patterned, but not perfect, symetrical patterns. I think my results will be much more random, but I like the idea of happy accidents. I'm going to lean towards textures and patterns from nature, and tweak them to use the right colors, etc.
Sorry, babbling on...

A little New Age fest, processing a simple flageolet guitar sequence (MachFive 3), some warped Aether on a Bus:

Processing a repeating english horn phrase from my orchestral composition Doktrin der Ruhe with KS, using 2 custom images and a Scala tuning file. Gets very perforated/punctual towards the end...

I am currently pursuing the idea of converting integer sequences to MIDI, then imaging the resulting piano-roll patterns as a starting point/framework for spectral grids n Kaleidoscope.

(please see:
http://oeis.org/webcam)

As integer sequences (like Fibonacci/Lucas numbers as a basic example) have basis in nature, there is both 'organic' and 'architectural' short/long form possibilities to image-mapping them upon micro/macro musical constructions as both interesting filter arcs and 'sonata-like' large forms of key-change construction ;-)

Wolfram graphical experiments also come to mind as a intriguing point of departure.

I currently use them and other mathematical ideas in many forms to explore avant garde musical forms with great success (as to my own expectations, YMMV).

In other words, your 'babbling' brook has visiting feet dipping into it :)

Here are a couple more images. I was playing around with a particle system in Adobe After Effects.

I assume this is more in the color range that KS utilizes?

You near Rocky or HappyRock? ;)

Good luck up there. We've just got wet feet down here in the Brissy.

More particle systems. I'm getting some AMAZING results with these. Like a full-on orchestra with heavenly choirs! :o

I really need to sign up for SoundCloud so I can share some samples easier...

It would be incredibly helpful if there were a way to externally control the selected note when in Musical (Note) Tuning Mode. Either sending MIDI note data to KS, or with parameter automation.
