Hi, any tips on how best to use Diva to get some early 80's analog TD sounds using DIVA or another U-he synth? I am particular interested in TD's sequencing techniques from the above mentioned time period.
Thanks!
Diva and analog tangerine dream?

For the sound, you got to use the Minimoog style setup in Diva as TD used the Moog modular for a lot of the sequencing afaik.tangerine dream wrote:Hi, any tips on how best to use Diva to get some early 80's analog TD sounds using DIVA or another U-he synth? For the actual sequencing you need something inspired by the Moog Modular 960 sequencer. There are two things in particular that were unique with that sequencer. One is that it could be transposed from the keyboard (afaik), the other is the so called 'skip' feature which enabled you to remove selected steps from the sequence. When removing a step with skip the step it actually removed it, i.e. making a 8 step sequence only 7 steps (no silence).
Skipping steps and adding them back again allowed for performing live in the way you can hear on Ricochet for instance.
I hope this helps.

Just discovered them this week. Node 2 is on Spotify. I've been wanting for a long time to hear some music done by Flood... not that I could pick his stuff out of the lineup. Daniel Miller needs to do more stuff as well. I hear Node are going to be doing shows... billed as the largest gathering of analog synths on a stage or something like that.Howard wrote:I'll give Atem, Phaedra etc. another listen...
