I am a long time Tracktion user here currently still running Tracktion 3 on WinXP. I'm building a new DAW and moving to Win7 Pro 64 bit on T5/T6. Before I decide whether to go with 64 bit Tracktion, can anyone share their bridging experiences with 32 bit plugins? Jbridge seems to be the most popular, though 32 Lives is out there too. I have a ton of old 32 bit VSTs and am concerned at how fluidly they will operate in a new 64 bit environment.
Thanks.

32 Lives is just for au on Mac. I've not had good experiences with using JBridge in Tracktion, particularly T6. I still use the 32 bit version for when you want to use those plugins, it can run alongside the 64 bit version fine.

I'm using Tracktion 6 on Windows 8.1 64-bit.
JBridge has worked perfectly for me with a large number of 32-bit plug-ins -- no issues at all, really. It's a low-cost, effective solution, in my view.

Interesting, I didn't realize that both 32 and 64 bit could coexist side by side. Sounds like the best of both worlds.aMUSEd wrote:I still use the 32 bit version for when you want to use those plugins, it can run alongside the 64 bit version fine.
