Hell, I would pay 200 USD if version 2 runs flawlessly and has all the new features I hope for. I just hope there is going to be a good beta tester system.....(for all version 1 owners) and it gets solid as a rock in both platforms.

My problem also. And there aint no way in hell anyones gonna give me a card! My CM demo is about to go into hiss mode.Bantam wrote:I'm just worried about actually being able to buy the upgrade. I don't have a credit card and since Tracktion went to Mackie, they don't accept Switch anymore.![]()
That said, I might have to get a credit card just to get some action on my pole.
Hmmm. Graduation on Wednesday. Mothers coming. Perhaps a shmall present?

I had this weird feeling that someone was typing about me. I also felt that they maybe need to read Eats, Shoots and Leaves because their punctuation skills were underdeveloped...AD80 wrote:What about the lazy folks who make 1 song a year.

I love Traction. I have used all in one daws since Fostex came out with the first digital 8 track.
After Traction came out and I found out I could understand it, I was able to sell all my digital recorders.
Thank you and looking forward to V2.

Agree, but still >$200 price tag moves the Tracktion from his current market position to Cubase SL area...Aleatoric wrote:Hell, I would pay 200 USD if version 2 runs flawlessly and has all the new features I hope for. So it better be worth the comparison!

I had a lot of trouble running Sonar (actually the homestudio incarnation) on my old machine so thought I'd just give the freebie version of plasma a spin on my new one out of curiosity (runs fine, thanks for asking
Looking back, one thing struck me; how stripped down Tracktion is in comparison. Much easier to use for sure and much more stable but none of the midi splitting/filtering, groove clip editting (sooo easy!) etc of the Cakewalk products. It just hit me it was like Word v. Write or something.
Nothing really wrong in that at all but 'at this price point'. Charge more than Cubase SE for instance and a lot of people will be looking elsewhere I feel.
I doubt I'll ever change, Ts the only app I've really managed to do serious work with, the bottomline for me.
