Tracktion Software

I am looking for a basic MIDI arpeggiator for Tracktion...I have searched all over the place but am unable to find anything. I thought arpeggiators were pretty standard but guess I was wrong.

I use both Mac and PC. The main problem is Mac OSX - the arpeggiators I have found are all for PC.

Any advice would be very welcome.

I believe that there is an arpeggiator designed to be used with Tracktion called Stepchild.

It seems to be a PC only plugin...I need a Mac OSX plugin.

If you read the other topics in the forum, you'll notice that stepchild is in the process of being ported to OS X. It might take a while but it will happen.

Yeah, I also saw on TracktionFaction that Jules' open format will enable all developers to write plugins for both formats in the next version. That's great!

I did not intend to reply in the negative, sorry if it appeared to you that way.

That's all well and good, but Stepchild is not an arpeggiator. So if you hang around waiting for it to be ported, you're going to be disappointed on both platforms.

It's a great little step sequencer though ...

The best arp as far as I'm concerned is Energy XT. Ofcourse its A LOT MORE than just an arp. PC only tho.

but i think thats pc only aswell
if pc will do keep an eye on the adbe site

actually, valley has something else he's working on that's quite a bit cooler than a pattern arp. Unfortunately this project keeps getting bounced below other projects that the wife cares about more. One day valley will write some music too. Before that though, valley is gonna quit talking about himself in the third person.

Really great all you guys were able to answer his question. Nothing like help from friends....

Take a look at Numerology. OS X and although a lot more than an arp, it does have arp ability. Also not to heavy on the pocketbook and the developer is a very nice guy.

Thanks, that was a good tip. Downloading Numerology as I write. Looks very interesting, although a bit above my budget for this project (both in features and budget-wise)...

I am very happy with Tracktion and I hope at least a basic arpeggiator can make it into the next version.
