Yeah it'd be cool if Lennard or one of the team is interested, but it's no problem if they're not. I didn't mean to make out like I've been waiting forever. It was only a passing offer and there's no rush in a response. As I said earlier too, I think it'd be cool to remake the original instead with an updated finish to it. The skin I created isn't to everyone's taste so staying true to the iconic original (be it for good or bad reasons!) would probably satisfy more users. :)

I'm hoping the skin isn't picked up by torrent creators and repackaged. I don't want it to be associated with that shit. The whole point was to create a skin that can be applied to purchased versions without any fuss.
well, making a skin for something that isnt skinable and requires a hack is always going to gain attention from the wrong kind of ppl, and therefore you naturally become associated with those ppl when they release stuff that uses your work, especially as this synth is prob the biggest cracked synth (released with several diff GUI's). Maybe next time, pick something that is already skinable, or send the files directly to the dev, just to be on the safe side

As for D2, its a big job to do a new skin from scratch (as i well know) and if you are working for 'free' its not your priority. Ignore Tek, he's gunning for Bones position of top Synapse grump :hihi:

Ok I've deleted my posts. Mace404 and Krim please delete or edit yours as well. Lance you can delete the one above too and we'll have no trace of the conversation.

Oh and there's one at the Synapse main forum. I'll delete my comment but you'll have to delete the quote..........

Anyway back on topic Lennard please allow user skinning so no one has to hack the .dll in order to change the look of Sylenth 1 to suite their personal tastes.............. :tu:

They already have announced it. You just never know when it will happen.

Yea I know I just wanted to bring this thread back on topic. I should have said "please release the next version that has been announced will allow user skinning".

As we all know development of Sylenth 1 is at a snail's pace..............

Oh wow, looks like they've done exactly what I had in mind. Looks heaps better already. Nice one. =]

You had purple and raspberry in mind ? Looks like the original skin with a fresh coat of paint. But if Lennard has exposed the gui files to the users at least we can make our own without hacking the .dll...........

Those are likely the original Sylenth1 colours but because they've taken the picture of a computer screen you get that extra blue sheen.

An interesting thing that I've noticed on the screenshot are the little gears/cogwheels on several sections, implying that there will be some sort of copy/paste implemented. If so, then nice.

I've adjusted the colour curves to demonstrate. :)
