Anyone else finding automtion recording no longer working?

Not so far, maybe it's specific to particular plugins/scenarios?

Had an automation issue in first release of T6 . volume an pan couldnt read automation values in old T5 Edits opened with T6. Safe and reopen cured it.

Actual T6 seemed to be ok

No. Its Tracktions own pan and volume controls I was altering.
Strange thing is that whichever track I drag and drop the "A" sign on it only replicates the curve from the first instance.
Example:
Track 1, drag the "A" onto the volume/pan slider and select pan.
Now any other track I choose say track 4, I drag the "A" for that track onto its volume/pan slider and select pan again.
It puts a duplicate of the pan line from the first track.
If I click and change the curve or add points its duplicated in the other pan line.
I've just deleted all the midi mapping for my controllers and added just 1 control from my x-board to see if it was a hardware conflict but just the same.
Another morning spent trying to fix something that wasn't broken before.
You get up, head full of ideas of something that would be cool to do. Make a tea, settle down and spend the next hour just getting hopelessly frustrated.

I put my machine spec as a sig so people would know what machine I was on but for whatever reason it's not showing.

Works fine here on OSX.
Are you sure you did select the pan corresponding to each track ?
For example, On T6, you can view the pan automation of track 3 on track 6.

I'm not seeing this, just followed your example and two different automation curves were created. This is T32 on Windows7.

I've been having problems with automation on T5, couldn't get it to work on a track from yesterday but ok on a new one today...

Oh yes, this I do know.
One of the nice things about Tracktion is that any automation line can be on any track and any track can be any thing. Its this flexibility that I like.
Downside is that being so flexible you can't solo a return track to hear only that tracks output.
No biggie but some times it would be nice to just be able to hear the effect in isolation without it muting the original track.

Solo both tracks but put a volume plugin to -INF after the aux send. Then you only hear the effect. Or isn't that what you mean?

I guess theres a few workrounds frank.
As an example. In Live and FL if you solo the send track it automatically mutes all the other tracks being played but allows the signal from those tracks to pass through.
Sometimes I may use a reverb or some other effect on a send with all the dry signal turned down and just the wet coming through.
It's nice to be able to hear that send in isolation so you get an idea of what's actually coming out, maybe to add some eq, take some of the bottom end out or similar which is hard to do if the original track (or tracks) is playing along with it.
Make sense?
It's not much to sweat over, I'd much rather see one of those tabbed windows turn into a big mixer but that's never gonna happen.

In that scenario how does one listen to only a few of the tracks that route to one aux return?

I know what you mean. I did this a lot during my time with Studio One. I like to hear just what the drum aux is doing, but you can't because it plays the tracks being sent to it as well. I suppose you could turn them down, but that is a workflow killer. In fact, I find myself not even using a drum aux in tracktion much anymore.

I know, its a case of being spoilt by other software, or taking a feature that seems common in other daws thats not common to Tracktions way of doing things.
Anyway the automation prob seems to be fixed. (Fingers crossed)
