Seriously though - the song I want playing at my funeral - 'Freebird' by Lynyrd Skynyrd.
Does it for me everytime.
If I leave here tomorrow
Would you still remember me?
For I must be travelling on, now,
’cause there’s too many places I’ve got to see.
But, if I stayed here with you, girl,
Things just couldn’t be the same.
’cause I’m as free as a bird now,
And this bird you can not change.
Lord knows, I can’t change.

Bye, bye, it’s been a sweet love.
Though this feeling I can’t change.
But please don’t take it badly,
’cause lord knows I’m to blame.
But, if I stayed here with you girl,
Things just couldn’t be the same.
Cause I’m as free as a bird now,
And this bird you’ll never change.
And this bird you can not change.
Lord knows, I can’t change.
Lord help me, I can’t change.
Don't ask me why, it just does - but you gotta have that music with it too. Powerful stuff.

Indeed, Joni Mitchell's "I Had A King" was a great mention. Gets me every time. But, another song that always moves me is actually a relatively unknown solo piano Nocturne by Chopin(Op. 9 / No. 3 in B major). It seems to unlock a door somewhere inside of me like no other song can. It's quite a mystery to me how it can continue to do this after all of these years.

An other vote for "Everybody Hurts" from REM

But also "It's a motherf**ker" from Eels and "I Hope That I Don't Fall in Love With You" from Tom Waits (because of the lyrics)

And "Gold Day" by Sparklehorse, because it's such a wonderfull melody (i don't know the lyrics of that song).

Aimee Mann - Wise up

It's not
What you thought
When you first began it
You got
What you want
Now you can hardly stand it though,
By now you know
It's not going to stop
'Til you wise up

You're sure
There's a cure
And you have finally found it
You think
One drink
Will shrink you 'til you're underground
And living down
But it's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
'Til you wise up

Prepare a list of what you need
Before you sign away the deed
'Cause it's not going to stop
It's not going to stop
'Til you wise up
No, it's not going to stop
'Til you wise up
No, it's not going to stop
So just...give up

I stumbled upon this one in the movie Magnolia and it hurts me everytime I hear it...

These two always touch me:

Family life (by the Blue Nile)

and

Old Friends (Simon and Garfunkel)

Something about these songs feels so real to me, I'm going to have a listen now  !
