Mute: select note and turn velocity to 0 in midi events panel.

that's a workaround but it doesn't remember the velocity values if I unmute the notes.

If you're careful, perhaps delete MIDI note and later Undo?
Not ideal though.
Could you move the note to a new but muted track and move it back later? Sort of uncomping?

[W10-64, T5/6/7/W8/9/10/11/12/13, 32(to W8)&64 all, Spike],[W7-32, T5/6/7/W8, Gina16] everything underused.
