They work fine with my midi controller. I would just wish
that when I hold down the button (on my Midi Controller)
it would mean that the play cursor line would scroll.

Cheers :tu:
Sound C loud
Band C amp
Clicks and pops is all I get

Just as a reminder, with the new midi channel remapper module you have full control what's going to your external HW synth.
I'm running plenty of external channels now from several step sequencers inside Mulab.

Very nice, Jo!
Thanks

Does your MIDI controller have a configuration to support auto-repeat? If not, the button will not be sending anything after you press it, so nothing will know you're holding it down.

Hi, Jo, Mulab just crashed see pic,
I had just selected the tracks circled in yellow and tried to move them to the right.
It saved to the crash file and I could load the project successfully again but it keeps crashing when performing the same action. But it only seems to do it after 'playing' the project
You do not have the required permissions to view the files attached to this post.

Correction, it just did it without 'playing' and it still crashes
I will try it with an older version and report back

Spoke too soon, just crashed. As you can see from the pic I currently have 10 instances of Synthmaster
(for the OSC) loaded, do you think that might be the issue that my laptop is not up to it ?
Dell Studio 1558, i3 cpu, 4 gigs of RAM
I'm pretty sure there are no sample based sounds being used

To be honest I really don't know if my Midi Controller
has auto-repeat, but I see what you mean.

Just hadn't thought of that.

Just to clarify a little...
I am able to carry on adding more tracks and even more instances of Synthmaster and everything plays fine but when i try to move some parts it crashes.

So the session/project also crashes in M6.3.6, right?

And it only crashes when using Synthmaster, right?
Or does it also crash when using other VSTs, or no VSTs?
You can test this by replacing Synthmaster by eg MUX Basic Synth, just as a temporary test, no save required.

I was trying to move those sections that I highlighted a few steps to the right, so it was only sequence data I was moving.
After the crash I could load the project and carry on adding things and it would even play ok but as soon as I tried to move a sequence part it crashed.
Im not at my pc now but will do further testing asap. If nobody else is having this problem it may just be the patches I'm using in Synthmaster that is the issue, too cpu hungry maybe.
Will let you know when I can.

Problem with 6.4.5
In modular:
I cannot drag intstrument into rack . It close the rack when selecting instrument mux.

But i can drag instrument out of the rack, when there is one. This is still ok

Was working in 6.3.6

Post

Can you pls describe in a detailed step by step what you mean.

mutools wrote:There is a new MuLab 6.4.5 test version in http://www.mutools.com/forsythia/

Changes since M6.4.3:
  • New shortcut functions "Rewind One Step" and "Forward One Step".
  • New MIDI Channel Remapper module to remap the 16 MIDI channels to another channel.
  • Improved transition from "Session" to "Project".
  • Zooming in/out in the composer and part editors using a shortcut or the scrollbar buttons now focuses on the play cursor (if it's already visible) instead of the center of the editor.
  • Sequence editor: When changing the editor grid, the event property panel now immediately takes that into account.
  • In rare specific cases editors could open with an improper size. Fixed.
  • Improved shortcut system: Less chance that a shortcut is not processed because of a UI focus mismatch.
  • New shortcut function "Set Play Position At Mouse Cursor".
  • Pitch-bend automation editing: Couldn't type in a negative envelope point value eg -50%. Fixed.
  • Automation editor now also supports inputting parameter values in their specific format eg "2450 Hz" for a cutoff parameter automation.
How to upgrade from MuLab 6.2.x or up:
OSX: Simply replace the MuLab.app by the new version.
Windows: Simply replace the MuLab.exe + MuLab.ID files by the new versions.

Ok, since a time older versions of AAS-Plugs open correct (and tassman 4 too thats very nice)

But again: Arturia Wurlitzer Plug in don't work again. And after you opend this, the most rest of Arturia plugs don't work too (you cannot use them, because you cannot change any button)

I'd sent you a screenshot to your infodesk-mail. Sorry, that a tell you again, but ...

1) create rack in modular

2) load intrument mux in modular

3) open rack

4) drag instrument mux into rack ( DONT work now because rack is closed when selecting instrument module)
is working in 6.3.6

Made test on both release with new default template

Have found the problem .
By default 6.4.5 is openning modular in floating.
Have never used floating frame before . In floating you cannot drag the mux instrument into rack. This only works in docked mode. Because in floating the modulard frame hide the rack frame.

Solution could be a option to keep child frames on top of frame stack. Because using Modular frame as full screen is useless if you cannot select child frames

Other solution:
Make a option to diplay the lower bar at the bottom of modular frame or as floating frame.
